This is sad to me that he’s piggybacking off his dad’s name and status to post clearly false rumors.

If Sam The Bullshit Whisperer were a more respected reporter I'd venture that this "mystery" cavs player they've shopped would be JR Smith.

But there probably is no mystery player and The Bullshit Whisperer is just flinging shit at a wall.

Meh.

He's probably the coolest guy on Facebook for a little bit, until the shit gets flushed.

He has a few Facebook posts all the way back from Tuesday where he's telling Phil to pull the trigger and saying that he's holding up a huge blockbuster trade without us trading Love...it's comical...says Griff was gonna get GM of the year of it goes down...then came back a day later and said "Oh now Phil wants Love it ain't happening without a third team"... Sweet insight J

I'm laughing at this. Is his source IBOB or Tommy Dee? lol.

- In the comments, he said something about Cavs/Mavs/Knicks three way that IBOB and Dee reported
- saying "highly motivated" to get Melo trade done

You'll notice how these clowns can't actually name the players involved in this blockbuster deal that's THIS close to getting done.

I just can't shake this weird feeling that it's destiny for Melo to join LeBron on this quest and help him achieve GOAT status (with Love here as well, of course). A trade is hard to manufacture with all teams getting what they want, but it's not impossible. And if any GM could get it done, it would be Griff. Everything is dead quiet right now but I don't remember there being even one rumor about the Korver trade...

I have had NBA TV on all day. I keep hearing them say if Melo goes anywhere it will be Cleveland. They think it's a long shot, but not impossible. I heard we were talking to Minnesota as well. Could there be a 3 team trade to get this done?

My friend told me this morning that the the Melo to Clippers talks are, as of right now, completely dead (doesn't mean they can't be rekindled, though) and that Cleveland is the only destination that he thinks even has a chance of happening. However, even the Melo to Cleveland stuff looks a lot less likely today than it did a week ago. Melo is most likely to stay put. However, Melo's camp has softened on their trade kicker stance, and would consider waiving it, preferably partially though, if Melo felt the trade the Knicks bring to the table was acceptable. Also, Dolan has taken a step back after the Oakley debacle, and has left the decision on Melo completely up to Phil Jackson.

My opinion below the line

It sounded like the Knicks have given up on the Kevin Love stuff. They know the Cleveland package would be based around Shumpert and Frye. It's part of the reason they don't think a trade will be made, because Shumpert would be the centerpiece of the trade, and while the Knicks might take a player that has equivalent value to Shumpert, they will absolutely not entertain just taking Shumpert, they have Courtney Lee, his contract is too long for them even though its not a bad deal, and they traded him to us for a reason...Phil is not a huge fan. I actually don't think they would mind having Frye on the team for a year though. They like him playing next to AND backing up Porzingis, and they think they could get an asset back for him.

So if the Cavs find a team willing to give them something for Shumpert that the Knicks are interested in, I think the Knicks would take a long, hard look at the deal. I think they may try to get Cedi, or our 2021 pick, or both....but i'm not sure if the Cavs would be willing to include either of those things. Maybe a 2021 1st with long-term lottery protection...maybe...

Because Phil really does want to move on from Carmelo, and there's no guarantee the offers are going to get better this summer, they very well could get worse, the NTC is not going away, Melo is picking his new team regardless, and the older Melo gets, especially if he gets injured again or takes another drop in efficiency..

TL;DR I think there's a small chance we get Melo and only lose Shumpert and Frye out of our main rotation. I think there is no chance of any trade involving Love. That trade would be too hard and the Knicks at the end of the day, are trying to rebuild, and giving up young assets that the Cavs would require to get Love to put on a team that simply is years away from being ready really just does not make sense.

A 2021 1st unprotected has to be intriguing because anything can happen and we all seen what happen to the Clippers...

Minnesota is clearly interested in Shump, let's make it happen in a threesome.

And what do you know...

TNT shows LeBron, Kyrie, and Melo at their lockers hanging out...

This safari needs beefed up before the death.

You have to lose Jefferson too, right?

I mean, it could also be Liggins + McRae + Felder, but then why did we trade Anderson?

Yeah it would also take Jefferson or those 3. I think the fact that we traded Anderson was a sign that this is unlikely to happen in the eyes of the Cavs.

Like I said, it's not quite no chance, but it's also not very likely either. I think Melo stays, personally.

The fact that we moved Andersen was a possible sign, according to Windy(Hey Windy interview) that the Cavs believe they can make a 2 for 1 type deal (likely Shump).

He wasn't sure why they traded Birdman so early if they only intended his spot to be for a buyout player.

Yeah - basically I don't understand the timing of of the Anderson trade. I like the trade itself, it just seems like something you do 10 minutes before the trade deadline, not a week in advance.
