He's a much better individual scorer than Garland, but he needs to find a way to score without hijacking so much of the offense IMO, or the Cavs are going to lose every series he doesn't shoot well in.

Those transition 3s with no one under the basket look a lot different when they're not falling. LBJ was really good at getting his teammates going early and taking over late. As a result, he didn't have dead legs in the 4th quarter.

This is the correct answer. Ingram would completely change this team.

Everybody in the NBA jacks up three balls in transition with nobody underneath. Unfortunately that is the nature of the league where it has fallen in love with the three ball!
 
If Raptors want to compete with Barnes and Siakkam, I would send DM (and Cedi or Okoro) for OG, Trent Jr and picks.
Additionally, if we can get Wiggins straight up for Allen, that would be nice.
Then we need a big bruiser C to back up Mobley.
Starting line up might be like, DG-LeVert-Wiggs-OG-Mobley

Edit: Changed FVV to Trent Jr since FVV is a UFA

The thought of giving Toronto a core of let's say Mitchell, Trent, Barnes, Siakam, Poetl, Okoro, etc. that we now have to contend with makes me sick to my stomach.

I'd rather just do Allen for Wiggins straight up if it was available and see what we had in Garland, Mitchell, Wiggins, Mobley, ?

FVV opted out and is an unrestricted free agent (he's a worse fit with Garland than DM anyway). Orlando has strong interest in signing him. There's a nine year age gap between Barnes and Siakam, so if the Raptors decide to blow it up and rebuild, Siakam will be first out the door, not O.G. If they move O.G., it's because he's not extending, and if he's not extending, and could very well leave for nothing after next season. You could rely on a pinky swear from his agent that he'll extend with your team after you trade for him, but he's free to change his mind. The Raptors really should've blown it up at the deadline last year and are going to pay a pretty heavy price for waiting.

I might do Wiggins/Looney for Allen/LeVert (I'd want to know more about Wiggins little sabbatical he took last season after getting a new contract), but the Warriors can't. Klay isn't the defender he was before the injury, Kuminga's defense is still very meh, and Curry/Poole are who they are.

It was reported his dad had some type of life-threatening illness.

Allen for Wiggins is pretty fair IMO. Maybe Allen/Okoro for Wiggins/Moody/#19? Kind of an interesting trade for both sides, but we'd desperately need bigs.

Yeah, but Wiggins missed two-thirds of the season and I'm not sure it was life-threatening for anywhere near that long. I know he felt pressured to get the Covid vaccine and was upset about it. I definitely don't want to trade for another Kyrie.

I'm very reluctant to trade core players while JBB is still the coach of this team because I'm thoroughly unconvinced that another coach can't get more out of this team.
