* The Cavaliers defeated the Nets in the season series by winning two of the three games played. Both teams won on their own court.

* The Cavaliers out rebounded the Nets in all 3 games this year averaging 8 more offensive rebounds per game then the Nets.

* Vince Carter scores in bunches against the Cavs and whats even more remarkable is how efficiently he does it. Carter averaged 27 points per game on just 13 shot attempts.

* New Jersey loves the long ball. This year the Nets hoisted up 18 three point attempts per game against the Cavs making 38%.

* The Nets were turnover crazy against the Cavaliers turning the ball over 18 times per game.

* Drew Gooden is shooting 64% vs. the Nets this year.

Im excited for this series. Im really looking forward to Bron vs VC, I hope they battle each other and throw down some nasty dunks. But LeBron seems tougher than Vince.

Sasha can definitely get under VC's skin. Just play him physical and he loses focus. I would also use Ira in the push Vince around role. Plus they are both big enough that he really can't do much about it.....except bitch, whine, point and get distracted.

It looks like David Wesley retired yesterday. He left the team for "personal" reasons.

I'm nervous as hell. Leaving in 10 mins for the pre-game festivities. I don't think Z and Drew can play at that incredible level like they did in the first series, but they should be able to do some damage against these guys inside. Lebron still hasn't "turned it on" like he did last year...he hasn't had to...today he may need to. A combination of Z, Drew, Larry, Lebron constantly assaulting the basket should be a winning recipe. I want to see people cutting to the hole every possession.
It would be nice to see Andy and Sasha contribute...they've both looked like garbage so far.
I am calling my bookie to bet large on the Nets immediately...doing what I can for the Cavs.

Did I mention I'm nervous about this one???

I agree with that. I'd love to see Ira in for little spurts to throw Vince out of his comfort zone. Stop their transition game and we should be golden.

Can you believe that the NBA on ABC still uses that Damn PussyCat Dolls song? Right now, I put my foot through the damn television...

On paper, this one looks tough. But here we go. IMO, we are a better team than last year at this time. If we can get Drew, Z, Hughes and maybe a little bit of Sasha on track, we'll take this series with ease.

That said, Cavs in 5.

Games going pretty smooth so far. Larry's taking some illadvised shots but that's really my only complaint.
