We're getting diddly poo inside, and we have no seperation. On top of that Larry and LBJ seem to think that a fadeaway 15 footer off the glass with two guys guarding them is a grand idea.

because we aren't doing squat attacking the rim. especially with the Nets less than intimidating interior presence

Thanks to Hughes's 7 points in one stretch, our offense looks better than we are doing. But we look like we're scared of the paint. We should be cutting lanes and cut to the basket off picks, not roll away from the basket to settle jumpers. And I hate Lebron getting the ball at the top of the key. Give him the ball to the post, as well as Z and Gooden.

It's nice that Pavlovic has looked a lot better than the Washington series. It helps a lot. I mean a lot.

Did we post up Z once at all? I'm shocked at the plays we're running to be frank. I was expecting a lot of Z and Lebron and even gooden in the post becuase we're bigger then them and it would slow the game down.

I'm glad we're up but we have not played well

the other thing worth mentioning

when was the last time our backcourt at 22 points at the half time of any game let alone a playoff game

Well, as expected New Jeresy is clogging inside. They are forcing to shoot Cleveland jumpers and Cleveland's offense makes it look even difficult. What we're doing on offense is that the big guys where we see a lot most of the season is to screen high and either Lebron or Hughes gets the ball at the top. The New Jeresy players are forcing you to come up to the top and will not let the players go to the basket at ease. There hasn't been anything where we try to screen down low and a post player to go to the strong side down low. We really need to take advantage of that inside. I think some of the players are just not awake and we may end up getting a good wakeup call at halftime and start things going in the 3rd quarter.

The one stretch where Hughes made 7 straight points really benefited Cleveland. Pavlovic, unlike the Washington series has stepped it up and has made it a lot easier for its offense. Cleveland has done a great job on the offensive boards which has also kept them in the game. Their defense has limited New Jeresy into bad perimeter shots but our rotations have been slow at times, our interior defense has been poor, and a few plays we're asleep and New Jeresy's hustle gave them some extra points.

Let's try to get the ball inside on offense and not shoot 20+ jumpers when there's 15 seconds left on the shot clock. Has Z gotten the ball at the post? There were at times he cut to the basket and wasn't paying attention and resulted into a turnover. But let's not forget the big men inside. They're just not there for offensive rebounds to get putbacks. They're there to get the ball inside and score.

I'm fine with Z traveling on that possession. At least he got the ball. But let's try to screen across down low so the weak side big man comes to the strong side.

That was not even the average backcourt scoring during the regular season a couple seasons ago. Sure feels nice doesn't it.
