Cavs Draft News Tweets

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Do you guys want me to compile everything posted in the two posts, and keep everything as orderly as I can, or just let the thread run its coarse?

Not to clog this thread or anything, but watching the video of KI concerns me. At 1:40, when asked "what are your thoughts about the prospect of playing in Cleveland?" He replied "....I have no choice because Cleveland has the number one pick...." Hope I read too much into it, but to me it didn't sound like he is too thrilled with the possibility of Cleveland.

Yet, he is only working for Cleveland.

I'm sure Cleveland wasn't Joe Haden's top city choice for the NFL either, but look how that has turned out. It is hard to say how a player will attach to a city. Over the years we have had some that love it while others despite being born only a few miles away didn't. I wouldn't read too much into it, but if he said it the year before his contract was to expire then I would.

Kyrie's been very professional in terms of saying the right things...

He doesn't want to fall in love with Cleveland or talk about being a Cavalier until it happens. If we pass and take Williams and he's left with Utah or another team the fans might feel a bit slighted about the prior Cleveland love fest. He's trying to give each fan base the opportunity to get excited about possibly getting him while not ignoring anyone by clinging to the Cavs like it's a formality.

If the Cavs feel Jonas is the pick at 4 over Kanter and he stays overseas next year and it helps us land another high lotto pick next year is that better than the instant gratification of a Kyrie Kanter draft class this year?

Talk of Kanter a possibility for the CLE at 1 is inaccurate. He's a possibility at 4. With Valanciunas w/o buyout still Cavs covering bases.

Agents push their clients agenda. Sounds better to say Kanter is in mix for 1 rather than 4. Trust me.

I could be wrong, but I still think the pecking order is:

1. Valanciunas
2. Kanter
3. Vesely
4. Leonard

Brian Windhorst:
2 players you can talk to Cavs about now: Ramon Sessions & JJ Hickson. Andy Varejao not available for just a draft pick.

So we are willing to trade JJ now? What kind of offer do you think they are looking for?

Probably a draft pick and/or a young wing player.
Hickson would be a top 5 pick in this draft, so they had better get some decent value if they decide to move him.

Per @WindhorstESPN report on @Cavs trading JJ Hickson. They insist they will get multiple picks or a player. Want unprotected pick in 2012

I would like to see us get a 2012 1st rd pick for JJ and then flip it into McAdoo or Anthony Davis

I would take Beal Rivers or Gilchirst before Davis or McAdoo. We still need a elite scorer to compete with the big dogs

Let's get the pick and see how 2012 unfolds before deciding who we take :chuckles: But you both have the right idea. Unprotected picks= GOOD.

Grant can get creative with this three way trade:

Lakers out: Gasol
Lakers in: AV/Webster/Gibson

Minnesota out: 2nd/Tolliver/Pekovic/Flynn/Webster
Minnesota in: Gasol/Gee/#32/#54

Cleveland out: AV/Gee/#32/#54
Cleveland in: #2/Flynn/Pekovic/Tolliver

We will then have 1,2,4 draft picks. LOL.

Lakers trading Gasol, yep, great move for them.

Guys, do you not understand that this is supposed to be a news resource only?
