Cavs Negotiating Deal with Matt Barnes (signs w/ Lakers)

Re: Cavs Negotiating Deal with Matt Barnes

Thank God...

I'd look for Delonte to be traded for a SF now...

do you know if this will happen for sure now? I sure in the hell hope so...

I'm not a huge Matt Barnes fan and could really care less if we signed him or not, especially when I read he was 30.

But what a reality check for us Cleveland fans. Turns down twice as much money to play for a contender. How quickly the tides have turned on us.

How is that a turning of the tides? Wrong metaphor...how about this one: par for the course.

I give Barnes a lot of credit. He took less money to play on a contending team. Good for him, especially for a guy who hasn't made tons of money compared to others in his sport.

If I were in his position, I would have taken the money. That's a good character move by Barnes, seems winning truly means more than money to him.

Whew, that was a close one!

Last one out turn out the lights.

:woot: no offense to Barnes because I love his attitude, but I am really glad we didn't sign him because all that he would do for our team is take up money.

And PT from players who need to develop.

Barnes is a fucking idiot. I wanted him last year, not this year. When you only make 7 mill yor whole career he should have taken the 7 million dollar contract. He still would have at least 2 or 3 minimum salary years after to go Ring Chasing.

Not sure why everyone is happy that the cavs could not land Barnes. This is a huge red flag for our franchise that he took half the money to sign with LA.

It is?

Why?

So the Lakers signed Barnes for $3.6mil for 2 years?

Wow am I glad that he didn't accept the $7mil from us...

Lakers now have three guys that can cover Dwyane and LeBron. Nice.
