Cavs Pre-Season Game Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Never heard of Nembhard in my life but he’s surprisingly quick and bouncy

Out of the guys who played today outside of the starters (and Love), he seems the most average. Which is a compliment.

I watched a decent amount of Kings last year and Guy was actually pretty fun
Hope he gets minutes as the reserve guard whenever injuries or garbage time. Rather him than Pangos. I got hyped for Guy's march madness plays. I knew he could make it to a small role in the NBA.Very limited athleticism but kinda good nerves and decent IQ.

Ballock a sniper. Good assist by Justin James.

I dont get the preseason games, how did Mobley look in his limited minutes?

He was good, he anchored the zone defense and rotated well. Picked up some fouls. There was one play when he was out on the perimeter guarding Durate (I think) on the left wing and his footwork on defense was fantastic. On offense, he missed some shots going to the basket off passes/dribble but they were all good looks. Had a nice dunk to end the first quarter. He also had a fantastic pass to the left-corner shooter (It may have been Wade), strong-side, when he didn't have a shot inside the paint.

And if we don't offer ballock a two way deal, someone else will. He has no other nba ready skill, but he is the only of the camp invites that has an elite skill. James would be interesting if he was really 6'7" as listed, but there is no way he is.

NBA can't list false heights anymore. If they say he's 6-7 he's 6-7. The issue is he has a 6-8 wingspan. So he isn't long relative to his height. Sexton and Okoro for example have 6-9 Wingspans.

I remember a Ruben Nembhard for the Jazz from the 1990s. Wondered if that was his dad. Looked it up, and he is.
Good catch. I believe his brother also played for Gonzaga and was their first guard off the bench. Good genes in the family.
