It's strange hearing a 2nd year European with semi broken english this confident yelling instructions and taking the vocal leadership role. Is it common?

It was on the verge of being cringey, but not really. Though, this together in 3 is hard for me even when Lebron yells it...so yelling it with an accent had me rolling.

Do you think NBA players are going to give him the respect as the leader? I think his defense and his IQ may allow him to take a leadership role. Like when you see a player giving his all on D, you respect him. Though, i'm still not used to this kind of Cedi...it's new to me. Where are all the smiles and having the attitude of a cute role player?

Steroids fuck you up.

I think that's because of the roster/league. He is probably seen the leader of the summer league team.

Coming back to the Cleveland Cavaliers with JR, TT etc. , I think it mostly depends on how Lue acts. As long as Lue benches him, no way they take him serious. He knows his spot on the team and how he has to behave. He adjusts to the people he plays with and what role he is given.

Part of it how well he sells it -- if he truly believes it, then other guys will tend to as well. It helps that he's a bit older than some of the young guys. The other thing will be if he backs it up with his play.

Probably should add that the coaches can have a pretty big role in that also. If they start going to him with some things directly, in front of other guys, that will really enhance his stature as well. But coaches also can submarine an on-court leader by not supporting him.

And he was mic'd up.

Though I do think he can take the role of a leader...he just needs the backing of his coach by giving his minutes/bigger role and talking him up in front of the other players.

Just a Summer League thing i think. He is the most experienced and a kinda legit NBA Player, thats why he tried to lead them. Same with the National Team where he is pushed into the leading position.

There are still too many vets in the team to do that in the regular season. But its not bad, developing leadership. Not everyone is suited for that. Btw. No man he aint taking steroids. I can't see it tbh. Lol

I don't think Lue is the type of coach to help him with that. Seems kinda passive.

I don't think Fizdale has proven himself yet, but hearing him talk about his rookies really makes me angry and even envious. His approach towards young players and giving minutes to players that deserve it as well as his approach to positionless basketball really hits a spot for me.

I think Carlisle is a coach that I would have loved Cedi play for. Same with Pop. Really wish we can find a gem to fill that position, soon.

Nah, not steroids. Though, I believe he takes some sort of PED. He should anyways, and I hope he knows it.

He bulked up pretty damn fast in a year, and I also noticed some facial changes.

In an interview he said that he feels amazing and really strong on the court...he kept repeating strong. It's not like he never lifted a weight prior to coming to the NBA. He is playing like a man out there.

Pictures of him last off-season. He was skinny af.

So basically James left and we got an upgrade.

Well he is in the age where the body starts to show more masculine signs. Not to forget he is hitting the gym daily. His body development looks pretty healthy for me. If he is smart he stays away from peds and all that stuff.

I was way more muscular at 18-21 than I was at 22-23.

IT's the opposite of smart to stay away from PEDs when all the players in the league use them. I hope for his own sake that he takes or intends to take them in the future if he wants to reach his full potential.

PEDs are not evil...btw.

At his age, a year of the right diet and working out can do pretty incredible things. 15-20 pounds of muscle isn't all that difficult to put on even without any PED's or HGH.

During the season with the intense cardio? it's tough as heck.

We don't practice, so maybe! But generally, it should be pretty damn hard. Player usually make the leap in the off-season.
