They also should have traded Cedi.. he isn't going to do anything this year.. he hasn't improved in his time on Efes and the transition to the NBA is going to be tough.

Why would we trade Shumpert to get into this draft? How does that help us improve against the Warriors? And considering how down most people are on him, why would another team give up something better than him to get him?

If you want to actually upgrade from Shumpert, you need to trade him as part of a larger deal or you need to attach Cedi or the 2021 1st rd pick(next 1st we can trade) for a player better than him. You feel he's trash essentially yet you expect to get something back for him that will help us more against the Warriors than him.
And we didn't have any money to purchase a draft pick. You get 3.5 million to use each year. We used our allotment in various trades this year. It resets on July 1st and if we don't use it in trades, we will have that full amount to use in the 2018 draft
