Cleveland Browns 2018 Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
A lot of good CBs still left that made more sense than Corbett.

Of the guys passed on from early round two, Dante Pettis is probably my favorite. He's looked sharp and refined in his routes, but hasn't gotten many opportunities.

James Daniels is a guy I like, but he's not getting any run.
Courtland Sutton and Anthony Miller look like a players (as expected).
Jessie Bates is playing really well in Cincy.

Beyond that, I think Corbett is a pretty good future starter here.

Corbett didn't make sense because you basically have to play him at C and that's if Tretter isn't retained. Bitonio doesn't want to play LT. Zeitler is locked in at RG and is a good one. Corbett isn't a LT right now. I'd rather us just go BPA on defense there and go with a FA LT this year. hell we're going with an UDFA there now.

Should've taken a DT there instead.

Got a bunch of armchair GMs in here. Harrison might be the steal of the draft, and if Corbett can play well as a starter anywhere, we are moving forward with much less salary in the line if we can shed a vet.

Plus line depth matters. All linemen matter.

We will need it as we make our playoff push, starting Thursday night where we rid ourselves of the stench of losing.

I didn’t like Crowell much either, but let’s not pump up Hyde for things he hasn’t actually done yet.

Blame the blocking and play calling if you want, but Hyde has been really terrible so far in the first two weeks.

The difference in burst between he and Chubb has looked very noticable to me.

Running hard on it’s own is not something to celebrate.
What's surprised me about Hyde has been his ability to get to the edge, which I didn't think he had. He's quicker/faster than I thought. And he makes people miss in space, runs through arm tackles and he has a good stiff arm.

I don't know many guys who run well diving into a crowd and too many of our runs have been just that. I haven't been able to watch closely enough to see why there's been so much traffic on too many of our runs. I assume it's a problem with the run blocking but IDK, maybe Hyde is missing some creases.

Having said that I'm also in favor of Chubb getting more snaps.

The problem is clearly that Taylor can’t stretch the field.

PS - I haven’t watched a single game.

PPS- 12-5-1.

That certainly doesn't help anything with the run game. Same problem as we've had forever.

From multiple people around the team, it wasn’t coaching with Cam. He was beyond lazy and just didn’t give a shit while he was here.

Who is supposed to motivate players? That’s on the coach

Would have easily been worth a similar package for what the bears paid. Especially considered he signed a new contract.

Every night on local news the sports guys are blasting the Raiders for trading him.

Dude is a special talent.

Comedy. Dorsey, the active GM and former GM with a long NFL history being compared to the carcass of Sashi.

Sashi was not a good GM. Give. It. Up.

Yeah, I dont need to read tweets from a guy whose bio says “Sashi Brown apologist.” Good lord.

Thomas was an awful pick though.
