Cleveland Browns 2018 Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Looks like both Kirksey (which we knew) and Ogbah are back per the depth chart. Nice.
And Devalve too... Lets hope he start performing well on games would be nice to have 2 young big TE even if they play average, specially with current size of the Browns WR

Yes. I hope I never have to see Orson Charles attempt to catch a pass again in my life.

Really hoping to see Mayfield get David Njoku going Sunday.

He's been struggling out the gate so far after a pretty solid rookie season. I expected a lot from him, honestly. He's got all the tools to be special, a playmaker for this offense next to guys like Landry, Callaway, Hyde, Duke, etc.

With Flash gone.. Browns really need him to step up and get going. Hopefully with the better quarterback out there now, he finds a groove for the offense.

Haha, I had that big who the heck is that guy look when I saw him in the game... What happened to Fells anyways?

I see the Fells/Charles rotation as a matter of leverage and what they are physically asked to do. Charles is a 6'3 fullback who creates push when he has a head of steam. Fells is a former power forward who blocks more like a tackle.

Thanks, am still new to football... Still learning this level of intricacies, such a highly specialized skill sport, most of the time I find myself clueless on those subtle things the commentator talks about...

The Cowboys definitely did a one year tank when they traded Hershel Walker for draft capital, then dominated the next half decade. Indianapolis definitely tanked for Andrew Luck because it looked like Peyton Manning was finished. Because of the way the NFL set up compensatory picks for free agents leaving and salary cap roll over, there are teams that take one year to reload. Doing what the Browns did and "take it down to the studs" with few if any vets for three seasons was unprecedented. So yes, there had been tank jobs for a season in the past, but rarely if ever a multi-year tank before the Browns did it.

Let it be known if the browns win the super bowl then teams will be copying this.

He can get him going after I’m done facing him in fantasy this week.

Fyi:

Browns DVOA: 30th on offense, 4th on defense, 32nd in ST.

Obviously, the offense may be on a new path now. Defense is just causing mayhem. And the special teams are worst in the league.

No matter what happens this offseason, Amos Jones must be fired immediately.

I’m not sure why I’m just now curious about this, but is carrying 8 OL the norm/average amongst the league?

Really hope Chad Thomas makes the most of a spell opportunity soon and shows he could at least be good depth.
