Cleveland Browns Quarterback Position

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Brock was so unbelievably bad. Zero percent chance this guy starts the season if Hue is trying to win games.

Kessler looked like fucking Dan Marino following up Assweiler.

Which left Kizer looking like Jesus Christ in the flesh.
Hue Jackson calls that "mission accomplished"

This is so the Browns it scares me as we all know who will start the season. Assweiler, who will lose a ton and then Kessler comes in looks good in one game loses the rest gets injured with two games left Kizer gets in there and lights it up. Only to trade Kessler and draft another QB and preach him as the second coming while starting Assweiler again then he looses a ton of games finally have faith In Kizer he gets Injured and are forced to play young new praised QB who sucks because he has to play as a third string and never recovers and the cycle continues as they trade or sign a vet washed up QB.

Not like anyone did anyone else did any better. Even Kizers deep into pass was off and luckily the receiver moved to it

Uhh that is called route running and I think it is a basic deep curl route. Basically it was a play designed for that to happen as I am sure that WR in a real NFL game would have to be a top 5 WR to make that adjustment if the route was busted. That was all on Kizer and a perfect throw and play hands down.

That ball was in the air 55 yards and thrown so no defensive back could touch it. That was after evading the rush, and climbing the pocket.

The receiver is supposed to move to it... the throw led him away from coverage and he gave it enough touch to let him adjust. I've seen Browns quarterbacks miss these throws for years... or not even be able to get it there with any mustard.

That's the throw of the gods, son. If you criticize that throw, you need to pick a different sport to watch. Luckily you've left your screen name vague enough to do so.

Be salty all you want about Brock Lobster, but there's a new sheriff in town, grandma.

Here comes the insanely picky critiques of players that actually played well while standing behind the guy who threw 14 passes for 40 fucking yards (remember he holds the record for games with over 40 attempts and under 200 yards in a season so this isn't a fluke)

This is the Zimmer grudge all over again. Everyone better brace themselves because coach is not going to let this go the entire season

Just put him on ignore and be done with it

He did it against 3rd string defenses and the first deep pass was actually Mullaney making a ton of adjustment to the ball since it actually should have been a TD if the throw was were it was supposed to be. The throw should have been way closer to the sideline, but it was nice to see the arm strength for a throw like that. Mullaney's knock as a wide receiver was his speed, but from the preseason game it looked like his route running and other skills actually make up for it. The last spot on this roster for the WRs is going to be tough. I mean none of them seem to be amazing, but they all have like the same rating with different skill sets as well.

Don't get me wrong I see the potential in Kizer, but we have to see if he can actually do that against 1st string guys. Both of those throws wouldn't have been able to happen against 1st string CBs since I don't see Mullaney and Payton getting that much separation down field against top DBs and first string DBs allowing a WR that much time to make adjustments to the ball. It is nice he can make those throws, but now we got to see how he does against an opposing number one defense.

I am not afraid to say in the next game let him run the first quarter with the first string unit in a sense and see how he does. He isn't as ready as some of you guys and media are making him out to be. I don't honestly care who wins the battle of the QB, but he has to be our best guy not just cause of potential or how he should up against 3rd string defense of a notoriously bad defensive team for the most part. Yes Kizer played fairly well, but still made a fair amount of mistakes that would not have projected well against a good defensive unit. He is showing he deserves a chance to face a better unit so like everyone else, I wanna see what he can do against them, but people are way to hyped up for him.

What the fuck just happened here.

Kizer looked the best and it's not even close.

Osweiler over / under threw guys left and right. I was surprised the boo birds didn't come out.

Kessler is STILL holding onto the ball too long. When it finally leaves his hands, it looks like he's delivering a roll of extra soft charmin.

@sportscoach "he did it against a 3rd string defense." Get the fuck outta here. Kizer was also making plays with 3rd teamers. Go buy this shirt.

I am not saying he didn't look the best, and I said he should get some time against the 1st unit, but against a good defensive team, the first throw would have not connected. That first pass to Mullaney would have been knocked down by a good DB since it went way too center. Mullaney had to slow down and adjust to the ball and he is actually considered too slow to make an NFL roster as a WR hence why he was never drafted. Saints also were the worst in all of football when it came to pass defense last season. He did well against a bad defense and that is always a good sign, but he still made a ton of mistakes that would cost him games against a first unit. He still has work he needs to do to show he should be our starter and I am sure Jackson is praising what he did right and trying to correct what he did wrong.

I legitimately wear between a 33-34 length pants and so does my brother who is 5'10, but he wears a 30-34 (if he can find them) and I am a 34-34. I cannot help it the way I am built. I mean I shop at buckle for my jeans and I get a Seth 34L since those are jeans that fit my big thighs. I am built to be a sprinter so I cannot help it.

I'd like to get back to this for a hot minute now that Kizer is on the team.

Has anyone's jean measurement or brand preference changed since Kizer joined the team?

Hypothetically, where would an individual go to purchase this shirt? Asking for a friend.

My favorite part of the whole thing is that Kizer, after the game, admitted how much further he needs to go and that HE CAN'T WAIT TO WATCH THIS GAME FILM AND MAKE HIS WEAKNESSES STRENGTHS.

God, he just gets it. He just does. He's progressing quickly. He makes mistakes, but he owns them and wants to fix them. It's refreshing.

Brock Osweiler has been making the same dumb mistakes for years. Kessler is always going to be what we see now--a dink and dunk player with a lack of arm talent.

Kizer is going to progress, and he's going to have situations he wants back. However, it should be obvious at this point that he's also the most capable of putting points on the board for this team with his talent.

He is the highest potential hence why I said he should get some first unit snaps in the next preseason game and see how he responds. His overall game isn't I don't think ready to be an NFL starter just yet, but everything is there for him to be a good QB. I am okay if he proves me wrong, but I want to see him against 1st string and with the first string in preseason (in game 2 or game 3) before the season starts and see how he does with the unit. I don't want him thrown in as the starter without him getting first string snaps.
