Cleveland Browns Quarterback Position

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
You could maybe try The Buckle. Would probably be close to the Seths.

@sportscoach @Huber.
Either the Parmatown mall has sold out after last nights sterling performance, or they don't carry them. I'll have to try another location. Perhaps Mentor.

Plenty of Seth 34L's. My spindly thighs were positively swimming in there, to be sincere.

Just watched the throw cut ups and came away pretty happy with what I saw in his first action.

His ability to escape pressure and his internal clock seem to be pretty good for a player his age. He often did a pretty good job of stepping through pressure to get his feet back in line to make throws, and REALLY showed off some good ball velocity when he needed to fit it into a window (albeit somewhat inconsistently).

Obviously there were some timing issues, and his release still tends to get a bit long under duress, but there was alot to like on that film as well as a lot to work on.

His mental make up is off the charts, though. I think that's what's most impressive about him to this point.

Did you see after the game he acknowledged that he voted Trump?

I legitimately wear between a 33-34 length pants and so does my brother who is 5'10, but he wears a 30-34 (if he can find them) and I am a 34-34. I cannot help it the way I am built. I mean I shop at buckle for my jeans and I get a Seth 34L since those are jeans that fit my big thighs. I am built to be a sprinter so I cannot help it.
Do they sell Wranglers at Buckle? I wear a 44-29. They don't pinch or bind.

Hypothetically, where would an individual go to purchase this shirt? Asking for a friend.

http://www.cafepress.com/make/custom-t-shirts places like that if you need to make it lol

Buckle has no sporting stuff but I am sure if you asked nicely enough and paid someone there enough they would help you find something like that.

There are very few Seth's at any Buckle since it is not something they sell very often. Though buckle does have a nice selection of jeans for all body types. Just wish they were cheaper. I wear a 34-34 which is luckily pretty easy to find there as well (though I still have to wear a belt otherwise they will fall off lol)

Ps. I don't really care if people don't like my take, but I am not going to make the kid our Savior until he proves he can do it. We have done that way too much with rookie QBs since the Browns have come back. He still has a lot to prove, but he is doing things the right way at least and has all the tools unlike Weeden and Manziel. We are off to a much better start, but he still has to earn it.

I am not saying he didn't look the best, and I said he should get some time against the 1st unit, but against a good defensive team, the first throw would have not connected. That first pass to Mullaney would have been knocked down by a good DB since it went way too center. Mullaney had to slow down and adjust to the ball and he is actually considered too slow to make an NFL roster as a WR hence why he was never drafted. Saints also were the worst in all of football when it came to pass defense last season. He did well against a bad defense and that is always a good sign, but he still made a ton of mistakes that would cost him games against a first unit. He still has work he needs to do to show he should be our starter and I am sure Jackson is praising what he did right and trying to correct what he did wrong.

That's fine to follow up with a bunch "coulda-woulda's" but Osweiler's passes weren't deflected...they weren't knocked down against the actual worst pass defense in the league last season, and they still looked like shit. If that's your argument, it doesn't paint Osweiler in any positive light, regardless of how many plays you dissected from a meaningless preseason game in your film room.

Sure, he's athletic and can sling it but if you can't time your passes, sayonara. Derek Anderson has more touch than this bum.

It's tough to decide on what to do.

That Britt non-TD for Brock was Britt's fault. He had plenty of time to drag his other foot and fall on the ground for the TD. He had another WR give up on the play. But other than that, and the decent scramble he had, his throws were kinda bad/way off/out of bounds.

I honestly didn't see Kessler at all. But by the stats, unimpressive.

Kizer looked pretty damn great, even though going against 2nd/3rd teamers.

I honestly would trot Brock out there one more time against the 1st team. If he doesn't do shit within the first couple of drives, you put Kizer in. At least get Kizer in this time 2nd.

If everything goes well, start Kizer game 3 and hope for last night.

With 11 days before the Giants game, I think the progression you would see from Kizer taking mostly 1st team reps shouldn't go unmentioned.

He has actual game film to use as a benchmark for getting better. This next 10 day period is going to be the most pivotal period of camp for young Kizer. If he's mostly taking 1st team reps under Hue's close supervision, I think that could be huge for this team and his development.

Some of you guys really go out of your way to hate on Brock. I don't think any QB looked bad last night, however it's IMO a two horse race from here on out. Kessler is what he is. The improvement from last season isn't there. A limited and safe backup. I liked what I saw from Kizer. I would have him be the starter next week to see how he fares with the starters. If he puts on a performance like he did last night, you name him the starter for week 3 and presumably to start the season as week 3 is essentially a dress rehearsal.

If he goes out there with the starters and sinks, I think starting Brock is the way to go to begin the season as he gives the team a better chance to win then Kessler. Then Kizer gets all the opportunity in the world when the team is out of the playoff picture.

Osweiler is garbage, I didn't see any of his throws last night outside of the Britt throw.

Don't need to, he's hot garbage.

I keep watching that 3rd and 24 throw from Kizer. Good window, ball placement, climbs the pocket.

Absolute laser beam throw.

More of that, please.

The ability to step into a throw with pressure coming at you and delivering a strike is a very difficult thing to do and what separates a QB.

Kizer showed this multiple times.

I hated the pick, was not a fan of Kizer, watched him a decent amount being a Purdue fan and thought he was a turnover machine like DA.

But what I have seen so far has changed my mind. He has allot to work on, his reads are still slow, but then again, he is still very young. But he really has all the tools, all of them. First Browns QB with all the tools since probably Couch.

So those of us that are pro kizer, when do you think he should start?

I go back and forth on this, but if the preseason continues that he looks this much better than the other two qb's, is it fair to the rest of the team not to start Kizer from day one?

I know he has much to learn, but there are as many day one success stories as there are failures. I am not convinced starting early in your career hurts your development. You can learn from your mistakes just as much if not more than learning on the side lines imo.

The value on Kizer was fine for me, even if I considered him one of the more raw QBs in the class.

His talent was always there, but the mental makeup (which we don't really get a chance to see on tape) is what jumps out.

You know that dude is working hard.

Seems to me that he has "it"

Next thing he needs is the moxie, the swag

The preseason progression for the 1's, 2's, and 3's is perfect for Kizer. That's how Hue is going to play it and keep it "fair":

G1: Kizer is with the 3's, and what do you know? He has the most throwing attempts.
G2: Hopefully, he'll get in with the 2's, which will be blended with the 1's.
G3: This is far, far away, but if he can get with the 1's, he should see the entire 1st half of action.
G4: If he's made the starter at this point, they'll probably leave our 1's in there an extra series or so, because he'll obviously need the reps.

Guys, Hue made Andy Dalton into a good-not-great QB. He's in Kizer's ear every day. This is going to work out really well, just enjoy it.
