Cleveland Cavaliers Summer League 2019

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Just to add, Amp Lawrence is a long 6’7 wing who has played everywhere from guard to stretch 4 at Miami.

Pretty good three point shooter (career 38%)—albeit streaky—in college, but a strong defender who enjoys that end of the floor.

He also crashes the boards and has been a willing passer from his position.

He’ll clearly be moving to the wing in Summer League, but he might be an interesting one to watch defensively.

With the skill set you described he sounds like the perfect Small Ball Four in todays game. Is he a PJ Tucker type scraper on defense? Because if he is that could be the role they try him at. Of course his measurables and game sound kind of like a lesser Windler so he could just be Windlers backup for Summer League.

Might be a guy who bounces around the G League awhile or ends up overseas, but I compare his play style to something of a poor man’s Trevor Ariza.

3 and D, but will keep the ball moving and crash the glass. Willing to straight-line drive to the hoop, but not a true creator.

To get an idea on what kind of athlete he is, here he is posterizing Tacko Fall back in high school.

i still wish we somehow got Hachimura but am still proud on what we achieved in the draft. In Japan, they are talking about Hachimura daily on the news - crazy as expected.

Anyways, looking forward to summer league.

I know Garland will not be playing in the summer league games. But I also know he will be with the team and Beilein
I wonder if they will let him scrimmage some with the team in practices.
I'm sure they would be told no hard bumping in practice.
But it sure would be nice to see Garland play with the boys. Including KPJ.
Hope somebody sneaks a camera in there.

summer league is so lame, if you got time to watch this trash, you have no life.

I couldn't disagree more. The same could be said for those who watch the Draft, preseason or any other sporting event that doesn't count on your record.

You might not enjoy watching but some might. That doesn't mean they don have a life.

I'll disagree in our situation this year.

I'm really curious to see how Windler and Porter do with expanded roles in summer league.

You'd hope both flash some of the potential they showed in college, especially Windler.

I can't wait to see how Beilein deploys him as more of a primary offensive option in his system (with Sexton and Garland out).

Are you Japanese? Because in the U.S. not a lot of people expect Hachimura to become a star.

I enjoyed watching Blatt & his offense back in the summer of 2014. I will watch a handful of games, but won't get too into it.
