This may be the worst post of 2019.
Hes speculating that Cavaliers are holding him out of Summer League due to his meniscus tear as us secretly having a deal in place.

Seems a bit far fetched. Injury recover make a lot more sense.
3 Games in Utah then however many they have in Vegas. Also depends on how far they make it in the Summer League Toruney.

Exactly he could be 100% but he might not be in game shape. To throw him out there versus G-league and guys who have been playing in Europe who will be trying to get notice for a NBA camp invite or roster spot, just doesn't seem like a good choice. Let this kid get into game shape in a controlled environment with the team then let him make his debut in the preseason when he has been training for months not 2 weeks.

Extremely unlikely. If there was a trade then I don’t think they would’ve gone ahead and introduced Garland to the media. In all probability, they’re just playing it safe following his surgery from the meniscus tear.
I agree. Garland is staying. I was just giving the assumed perspective of the OP suggesting he was gonna be traded.

I could see it. Even if it’s just to play competitive ball. You can only do so much in pick up games.

Definitely would make the most sense. Even if he is nearly at 100% a meniscus can be a real pain to heal as it receives limited blood flow.
they have been talking about him not playing in summer league since he got drafted, and there is no reason at all he isn't healthy enough to play by now, so there is absolutely nothing stupid about assuming they only picked him as trade bait. Will a Sexton Garland back court be fun to watch offensively? sure, but they will be the worst defensive back court in the league. So it shouldn't be that surprising to conclude that unless they are willing to lessen both of these players values in the event the experiment fails in the hopes it doesn't fail , that Garland won't be in a Cavs jersey by October.
