Cleveland Indians 2018-2019 Offseason Outlook

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
10+ K/9 pretty consistently.

Probably handles the 7th or 8th inning eventually. Really good sign.

I looked it up, Tyler is an Aquarius, do they make good relief pitchers?

Big, if true

Man that would be horrible for me as for years I have thought astrological signs were complete garbage, I would hate to find some actual correlation between my favorite hobby, sports, and something I find to be complete rubbish, lol.

Although Tiger and Lebron were both born on the same day, arguably the GOATs of their various sports.

This is the dawning of the age of Tyler Clippard.

played for the Yankees and Astros last year with 60 innings pitched.

Not going to pretend I know a ton about him, but he was a decent part of their bullpens and both made playoffs. Solid middle of the bullpen guy from what I can tell.

You are looking at his 2017

Last year he was on Toronto. 68 IP, 3.67 ERA, 11 K/9

Also a decent team, but thanks, not pretending I know many relief pitchers in the league, but seems he is a decent relief pitcher barely on the correct side of 35 that seems to be the age of decline for baseball players.

Actually he was with Toronto last year.

68 IP with a 3.67 ERA

I'm a little surprised his FIP/xFIP aren't better considering his K:BB ratio is pretty solid. His HR rate has been poor the last handful of year though.

Yanks, Astros, and White Sox was the previous year.

I feel pretty good about that bullpen, especially with guys like Edwards, Goody, Cody Anderson, and hopefully Salazar as options down the road as well.

History will remember the 2018/2019 offseason as the offseason that Tyler Clippard signed with the Indians.

We will all remember what we were doing when Tyler Clippard signed with the Indians, it will be a day that goes down in infamy.

I’m going to guess Chang gets the nod at SS.

Actually I believe Bieber won't start the season with the team out of camp if I am looking at the schedule correct. We won't need our 5th starter right out of the gate, so its a good possibility they keep him in the minor league camp to get him on a schedule and he will be up sometime in April.

With Wilson and Clippard in camp and more than likely a healthy Goody and Anderson, plus the additions of Hu, Wittgren, etc, this will be an interesting camp battle for the bullpen spots since we got a ton of competition so I hope it brings the best out of everyone. Only Hand and Perez legitimately have a spot right now so the rest is completely up in the air.

Also if I remember correctly @AZ_ @Derek correct me if I am wrong, guys like Plutko and Goody are out of options?
