Cleveland Indians 2018-2019 Offseason Outlook

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I’m going to guess Chang gets the nod at SS.

Thats my guess as well, but I still think they may bring in another veteran to compete for SS. We just signed Clippard so there still is guys like Jose Iglesias out there that haven't signed yet. I wonder if we can sign him as our early SS and utility man? A guy like Harrison is available as well, so I wouldnt mind bringing either into camp honestly.

Btw, season ticket holders just got a second round of tickets for the home opener after being allowed to buy 4 in the first sale. Looks like everything is still available.

Not a great sign for attendance for the upcoming season

Allowing STHs to purchase as many as 4 more screams as a tactic to ensure the Home Opener sells out within 5 min of going live to the public

It’s the only game outside of like the Blue Jays games that always sells out lol

They have sold out pretty much every Friday/Saturday from June-August the past 2 seasons

That's an interesting note.

So, when it's the weekend and the weather is nice, people show up.

If it's a weekday or the weather is bad, people don't show up.

Yup, they do pretty well on Sunday's in June-August too. Around 30k or so

Attendance dips again in September when school starts back up

Weekdays never get a good turnout, although they typically do better on the weekday day games.

Nice write of about the new faces in the bullpen this year on Espin this morning.

I actually think they’ll be able to piecemeal together a solid enough bullpen.

Hand is elite.

Perez and Olson were both dominant against LH batters. Perez was actually great against both, but should at the very least still be high end against LH batters.

Clippard and Wilson should provide some veteran stability.

That’s 5 guys right there. If they can get Cimber back to his San Diego form, the should be more than fine in the pen.

The lineup, specifically against LHP, is where it’s gonna be a real slog.

To all who claimed that the Indians weren't cutting payroll, and that they would pounce on an opportunity if "the price was right" Marwin Gonzalez just signed for 2/$21 million.

Feel free to issue a mea culpa, shills.
