We had two all-time great players still in their prime and managed to lose them both for nothing to create this shitshow

Somehow, the guy who engineered this colossal disgrace of a roster is still the GM. It's truly the single worst asset management job I have ever seen.

It's not just Kyrie.......take every player we have sent out and every player we have brought in and show me even one good move.

Someone will say Nance, who is a 3rd big on a good team. We traded a transcendent player in his mid 20's for a bag of half eaten McDonald's.

And now we're asking a 19 year old PG, who needs development, to try to succeed in this shit show on an environment. Good times.

when did we have the opportunity to trade LBJ ? and you would have pulled that trigger ?
Impossible to get anything for lebron....he was gone in his mind two years ago

Kyrie had them over a barrel. He did not want to stay with LBJ, he threatened to have knee surgery to force a trade.

What trade did Koby pass up to do the celtic one instead.
Brooklyn playing well enough to force us to 8 was no ones prediction and certainly hurt the deal

Kyrie is not a player to build a team around...despite what he thinks. plus he will hurt his knee again, cant count on his health

As for sexton, the plan was for love to pair with him. Hard for sexton to get assists when no one on this team can shoot right now

He traded away one of the best 10 assets in the NBA for (today), what amounts to nothing. That player was also under contract. Don't care what he was threatening.....tell his ass to sit out and buy 10 months to see where the dust settles.

Water under the bridge though.....hopefully they don't make a developmental mistake by dealing Love.....but I imagine they will.

The pick we traded for was also one of the best assets in the league at the time of the trade.

Should have called his bluff and trade or get better assets then what we got. This team is not in good hands.

The Cavs front office completely dropped the ball. Failed at all levels.

1. Traded Kyrie for weak assets.
2. Lebron leaves and they don't trade love before the draft.
3. Draft Sexton.
4. Might trade Love too fucking late.

OMG they dropped the fucking ball.

Here's how it could have been handled knowing this draft after top 5 was very very weak.

1. Either call Kyrie's bluff
2. Since they traded Kyrie and ended up with the 8th pick..Trade Kevin Love + the 8th pick to move up.

Imagine if we had Luka Doncic right now, or Jaren Jackson JR..

1. Kyrie isn't bluffing, gets knee surgery, we get nothing from him. What if that happens? And remember again, when the trade was made, that pick was projected top 3.
2. Who's buying that? Trades take two to tango, if you knew that the draft after the top 5 was very week, I'm sure they did as well.

Is there a final breakdown of assets in and out for the Irving related transactions on the site?

Walk me through what we got from the players we traded him for.

We won't know the final break down for years. Koby has done a good job so far of flipping players and creating a string of trades. George Hill and Rodney Hood came from using Crowder. Nance and Clarkson were obtain using IT's salary. Dekker was obtained by using a trade exception from the Kyrie trade. Henson and Delly plus the picks were obtained by trading George Hill. We will probably try to flip Hood at the deadline and Clarkson will most likely be dealt in the next year. I don't see Henson having a long term future with the team so it will be flipped at some point.

In other words . We got a lot 9f slim chances for Kyrie. I still like Collin. He's struggled without TT, but I still think he is learning. He was the rawest prospect in the top 10. His growth is what matters not his numbers. He was showing improvement game by game and ha sfigured a few things out. He's not a finished product by a long shot. Hope he watches D'Arron fox taptape and makes a similar jump. I'm encouraged by his higher assist numbers.
