CP3 Deal (DONE to CLIPS)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I didn't, i told you in previous posts that bynum and gasol played well for the minutes that they were in and i thought they would be fine so i didn't think i needed to say it again..... my main concern was the bench without Lamar I was happy to see.

I know kobe-pau-bynum will do what they do and play well and you believe they won't so I don't see any point in arguing it.... that's why i keep saying we'll see... you may be right, but i just think you're taking too much away from a pre season game.

I can't reiterate enough the tandem between Kobe and his centers. It's the most important aspect for your team, for a championship. I completely agree with that.

I do not believe that will win you a championship. Kobe is not Kobe of years past, Odom is gone and all the sudden all that height doesn't scare so many teams...
Oklahoma has answers, LA Clippers have answers, Eastern teams most certainly have answers. That one move literally opens up the field.

But I never said we would win the Championship, I agree as well that OKC is the best team in the west.
I'm not acting like we are best team and a lock to win so I don't know why you're so riled up. I just said i Liked the improvement of my team that they showed from the first pre season game. Which is something i wanted to see and hope that they continue to improve.

I mean, I'm no Laker fan, and I didn't even watch the game, but are we really judging how an entire season is going to go based on a couple of meaningless preseason games?

How else are we supposed to judge the season? Haven't you heard that Kyrie is a bust because he wasn't putting up double-doubles? Clearly, your team is only as good as when you play your first two exhibition games following a 5 month lockout...

:chuckles:

Yeah, I wonder what kind of interest teams will show in Andy at the deadline. He could help out several playoff contenders; teams like Memphis, Portland, and Dallas come to mind. I can't really think of a realistic trade package any of those teams could put together though.

I'm looking at Boston personally. They have the Clippers pick, and the Clippers are one injury away from not making the playoffs imo. Give us JO and the Clippers pick and I think you have a deal.

If Andrew Bynum had 2 healthy knees he would be so much better than Dwight Howard.
Even with the knee issues he is still massively underutilized in the Laker offense. Too many people still sucking on Kobe's nuts for how good he was years ago, I guess. Mike Brown certainly isn't going to change that trend.

No but I can make an informed opinion on a team I watched get swept last year in the playoffs and have the same team minus one important piece...

Unless they make a move, they are not going to contend. It's not rocket science.

...A team that should also have a much better defense and still has one of the top 2 players in the game today on its team.

That's not rocket science either.

Kobe Bryant isn't even a top 5 player in the game any more. Calling him top 2 is borderline ridiculous.

Maybe top 2 was a bit over the top, but the fact remains that he's still a top player in the game & can still take over a game at any time.

And the fact also remains that they will be better defensively as well.

Saying stuff like they may not make the playoffs is what's ridiculous.

They should have had better defense last year as well. I'm not quite sure why you think they should be better defensively this year than last. They are older and this season is going to be played out at a break neck pace.

Who said that?

People act like we haven't been watching essentially the same Lakers team for years now. Preseason games are preseason games. You get to see the game in motion and make determinations on match ups. If you weren't watching these last two games, you missed out. It was as highly intense as a regular season game.

I can't make determination on Kyrie because he is a rookie 19 year old on a team that is not contending.

I can make a determination on the Lakers because I've seen them play for years.

Hmm is Kobe top 5 anymore? That is a pretty good question. Personally I'd have LeBron, Wade, Dwight and Durant as absolutely without question better than Kobe, and then there is a second tier of Rose, Melo, Paul, who are possibly better than Kobe depending on how Kobe's injuries play out. Then again you could say the same thing about Paul and Melo. Rose is a fairly non injury prone player, although he did hurt his ankles a few times last year, but not seriously.

For riht this second I still take Kobe for this year over the second tier, but if his injury is bad enough then who knows.

God damn Kobe having to be a warrior instead of just getting the surgeries he needs. He's ruining himself to be the man, but at the same time, he's redeeming himself in the eye of the casual sports fan. Fuck, I've hated Kobe since he was in HS, and even I'm impressed by his desire to keep playing. I mean, fuck, "the ligament is gone, it's not gonna heal" Seriously? The ligament got in my way so I had them take it out. That's beyond fucking ridiculous. Utmost respect for the man.

That Clippers picks is top 10 protected I believe

It's like when McNabb broke his fibia and still played for 3 and half quarters (destroyed who ever they were playing that day too)
