I've said about all I have to say on this subject, but you honestly have no clue of what you are talking about. It is not legal for Delonte West to carry loaded firearms of any kind in a vehicle. And don't ever assume to know what I'd think about a redneck, and Indian, or some Chinese dude for that matter. You have zero knowledge of what Delonte was about to do so don't act any different.

We're really looking for another guard to be safe in case Delonte does have to serve some time, or is suspended for a long time. I think it's more of a safety net if perhaps he goes off the deep end again during the season.

Alright, that does sound a bit more encouraging. I hope you're right X. Delonte is such a valuable asset to the team and some people just don't realize it. Hope he sorts everything out, though. His mental health is the most important thing right now.

I think everyone understands that his trade value is about 0 right now. We're going to have to stick with him right now, and that's a good thing. I believe this is probably the best situation he can be in, as I have faith in this organization to handle this correctly.

He's an excellent player and just absolutely fits next to LBJ. Yeah, I'm a Delonte homer as he's by far my fav player on the Cavs and I've been touting him since his college days. But in all honesty, he just has that heart to win. Some guys just don't have it, but he does. It's something you can't replace, and because of his transgressions, we don't have to this year.

Every state is different.. .Shit there are states where you can carry assault rifles at a rally right outside of where the freaking president is speaking and some states where you can get jail time for carrying concealed weapons... Hell in PA they still get off school the first day of hunting season...

The dude got caught with some guns on a motorcycle... I don't know about you but I grew up in Ohio and my father use to drive to a gun range back in the day and carry in his truck a .45 and shot gun on his way to the range.... You know how often weapons get concealed in vehicles??? Mental sickness or not this is a crime that happens far more than you must realize...

It is not like West got caught with intent to use his weapons... You ever go down south? Shot guns are mounted on the back of pick up trucks, lets be honest here...

Oh yeah, I agree with you 100% about Delonte. That's why reading this thread was frustrating initially because so many people were screaming trade him, cut him etc. etc. When I said valuable asset, I meant as a player not a trade piece. On the current roster, only Lebron brings more versatility than Delonte. He can handle the ball nicely, create his own shot, drive, rebound and defend like a beast. He's also a warrior and has the heart of a champion, like you said.

Now the reason I may paniced is that Delonte may need a year off to get serious mental counseling. I don't know if he can do that while, playing a season of basketball. I also hope the incident didn't involve drugs. That could further complicate things.

I hope this means he stays for the rest of his career. Delonte is everything a Cavalier should be.

Totally agree with you. The second amendment is part of the Bill of Rights for a reason. Don't want to turn this political.

I do have a question. Were all three of his guns registered? Do we even know? I don't remember seeing this issue addressed in any of the articles I read.

From northeast ohio but my mom grew up in western pa... All my uncles were either in the marines or army and did time in vietnam... From a gun fanatic family and never shot an arm myself but I believe in the right to conceal and transport arms.. All of my family bear arms except myself and they all carry their arms on the way to hunt...

My folks live down south now... You know one thing my pops loves, is being able to carry an arm on him when he travels, even if in some states it might not be legal... So by his argument my dad needs to learn his lesson??? There are a lot of states that permit you to do this...

If you can bear arms at your home for protection then you damn well should be able to when you travel from place to place...

I just find humor in how upset people are getting with what West did, especially when there is no proof of intent to harm anyone... I live in nyc and one of the partners of my firm was just bragging to me about his new assault rifle he purchased and taking it to a range... You know how that rifle got to the range? He drove it there...

Get over it, there is nothing to come out to infer he had malicious intent... This shit is so blown out of proportion...

Right or wrong, high places or low places, white, black, asian, latino, gay purple or whatever the fuck you are people conceal weapons... And unless you can prove someone had malicious reasons legal or not, I would advise them to shut the fuck up and grow up... Guns are everywhere, burbs,country, the hood, down south or the city... This is America...

I hope this isn't directed to me. I actually agree with you. Unfortunately, lawmakers don't agree with us on this issue.

Regardless, that still doesn't change the fact that Delonte may need rigorous mental counseling and may need some time off. We know he is mental history.

But this question is really killing me. Where all of the guns registered?
