Delonte could be out before the start of FA?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Now that Ray Allen's made the Finals, I think everyone should start dreaming about Mike Miller instead. He's another deadly spot up shooter who shot in the 40%'s from 3 this season. With all this talk about Amare, it's going to be interesting to me how Blake Griffin develops over the years.

To me he really seems like Amare except he also possesses the rebounding and hyper-competitive genes. Blake Griffin has nothing do with what we're talking about right now, but I'm just throwing it out there. Do with it what you wish.

Wouldn't mind Miller in the least bit, but Parker would probably have to go in order to give him minutes, and a Miller-Mo backcourt belongs in Spain with the other matadors..

Amare would still be real nice... And I've always felt Andy would be a great pairing at the 4 with STAT at the 5. You have an athletic center with offensive destructiveness next to a high-energy all-defense guy.

But... the athletic concerns are certainly worth considering.

That's been my biggest concern with the possibility of signing Miller. But then I tell myself that I've seen so many nights with a back court of 30 minutes already played AP-Mo, so I imagine it can't be much worse. But hey, as long as our new coach sees that AP rapidly decomposes once he passes the 20 minute mark and sets his rotations accordingly I'm quite alright with doing nothing about the 2 and shoring up our center position. He's actually pretty decent for the first 20-25 minutes he's out there, and I'm quite alright with that Sauce.

I agree Amare's athletic ability is something worth worrying about but as long as he keeps his toughness and improves on his jumper he will probably play like KG is playing right now.

Minus the post game, passing ability, basketball IQ, unselfishness, and intensity. But yeah, I see what you mean. I can imagine Amare killing people from midrange as he gets older like KG does now.

It's true that if the Cavs got Amare they might put him at the 5, just because we're likely losing Shaq and Z and there just ain't any centers out there right now. He played center right up until two seasons ago, and he did average 26ppg twice playing that position. Ideally I think you'd want him playing PF, but I can't see the Cavs being able to get a center capable of starting and defending well.

With his future development, it's not too late. He's 27, but it really looks like he's just said "fuck working on my back to the basket game, I can just keep dunkin on chumps the rest of my career."

It's exactly the same as with LeBron. I watched alot of Suns basketball at the start of this season. Amare was a little out of shape due to that layoff from exercise from his eye injury. He had obviously worked on his post game in the time he had though, going to it often and it looked real good (exactly what you see from LeBron at the start of each season). But as the season went on he just basically forgot about it.

Just like with LeBron, it's not ability. Amare was expected by alot of people to be the best big in the game before his surgery. All he lost from that surgery was a bit of explosiveness, but he used the time to develop a killer jumper. He just needs to use that same drive to develop other parts of his game.

Who knows if that will ever happen though.

Substitute Anthony Morrow for Ray Allen then. Morrow is a fantastic shooter, not just spotting up, but actually coming off screen, etc. And he's young and at 6'5, he's basically a poor mans Ray Allen.

THIS.

Anthony Morrow just might be the best pure shooter in the league right at this moment.

http://www.nba.com/playerfile/anthony_morrow/career_stats.html

Have a look at those 3 pt. shooting statistics...46% from 3 this past year shooting over 300 of them playing 30mpg, 47% in the previous season where he shot 184 of them playing just 22 mpg...the man has been an assassin the second he set foot on an NBA court, and very few people know about him.

Anthony Morrow is a VERY intriguing guy that we should definitely consider bringing in. Young guy, straight-up STROKES from 3, and knocks in his FTs at an 86% clip? Sign me up.

I feel like everyone saying "Ray is going back to Boston since they reached the finals" is jumping the gun. They haven't won anything yet. Besides. Ray may want to return, but who's to say Ainge isn't going to want to go in another direction by going after a younger shooting guard with more promise for the future since age is their biggest flaw?

They will definitely be trying to get younger for next season and out of the "big three," Ray Allen is the most expendable.

It doesn't matter, they won enough to get to the Finals. That's more than 28 other teams can say, why leave? Boston will want him back because they have no flexibility either way. They can throw $5M at him, $10M, or $15M and it wouldn't change anything. They can only get younger via the draft, MLE, and BAE (I think they have it this year?), and using those will not change their desire to re-sign Allen.

If you were the Hornets, who would you want for Chris Paul? I think that if we traded every player on this team minus Lebron and gave them 2011, 2012, and 2013 first round picks they would still not accept the deal.

why would they gift wrap Chris Paul, he is an N.B.A. superstar. Imagine selling that deal to the fans of N.O, " To the fans of New Orleans: Today we have finalized a deal to acquire Delonte West, Jamario Moon, Mo Williams and J.J Hickson. In this same deal we have also attained the 2011 first round pick, the 2012, first round pick and the 2013 first round pick from the Cleveland Cavaliers. This organization is extremely exited in these additions, not only did we add supremely talented players, we allowed ourselves to build for the future, and saved a lot of money in the process. Folks, we just took half the roster of a team who won 127 games over the last two years!! Oh, by the Chris Paul is no longer a member of the New Orleans Hornets, have a great day."

If this deal ever went down...

(Anthony Marrow) - the man has been an assassin the second he set foot on an NBA court, and very few people know about him.

everyone who follows the N.B.A. knows just how good Ant is on offense, how good is his defense? I would hate to play 4 on 5 for 40 minutes a night wouldn't you?

How about the former Ohio St. Star Michael Redd, Bucks doesnt seem to have any use on him with Jennings on the floor.

He seems rival Kobe and Arenas in terms of deadly shooting

Any way can we get him?
