Denzel Ward

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The Jets game cemented in my mind that all the Browns best players are either rookies or second year players. If I were to rank the top five important players, it would be:

1. Baker Mayfield
2a. Myles Garrett
2b. Larry Ogunjobi
4. Denzel Ward
5a. Joel Bitonio
5b. Dez Harrison

Im trying to figure out if the scheme is protecting Harrison from doing too much, so I give Bitonio more of an uptick. The scouting department has really stepped it up the past two years.

Nice list, but I would suggest sticking Jarvis Landry in there somewhere above Bitonio. The professionalism and leadership he has shown, in addition to his outstanding on-field performance, have been critical in my opinion. He's the stability in the WR core that lets us get away with Callaway and Higgins in the other slots.

“Get away” with Callaway? Dude was shredding last game. High alert for him to break out soon. HIGH ALERT

Fascinating because Miami felt he lacked professionalism and was like the Isaiah Crowell of receivers, personality wise. Talk about taking advantage of a fresh start.

Like somebody was saying in another Browns thread, it's a great feeling and people who follow other teams are finally shifting in their attitude towards the Browns. The past few weeks, people at the sports bars come up to me and sympathize, saying they are rooting for the Browns. That is followed by jokes at the teams' expense. This week all kinds of people are just flat out congratulating me on the Browns and saying they like this team. There's a lot to like for the future! Denzel Ward is absolutely in the top four reasons to be excited.

I didn't mean in terms of talent. I meant in terms of maturity/experience. Landry is the guy that lets you give big-time minutes to young WR's because he's helping them learn how to be professionals.

Ok but instead of making a list of best players it seems like you guys are making a list of most important positions.

Landry being such a better WR than Harrison is at tackle makes him more important to me. I think it’s still pretty likely we draft a tackle early next year to compete with Harrison. To me that isn’t a guy who is vital to the team. I could very easily see a situation where Harrison is not on this team in 3 years, I find it hard to believe Juice won’t be

He was making a list of most important players that are key to the success of this team.

I don’t think you understood what he was trying to convey.

I love Jarvis Landry because he is so hype. He is like the Collin Sexton of football to me.

I have him second on the list after Mayfield IDGAF.

Joe Schobert is up there too

I re-watched the Jets game, obviously, and I noticed Callaway was burning his guy and the secondary of New York repeatedly. Tyrod Taylor just struggled so badly last week.

I agree with you. He's due for a big breakout game. I can see that going down tomorrow in Oakland.

On the Ward topic.. As I mentioned I re-watched the Jets game. I gotta say.. I absolutely love this kid. Don't get me wrong.. I really wanted Chubb. But I'm actually super glad Dorsey went and got his dude instead.

Ward is going to be special as we move forward. This secondary is looking pretty damn good.

What about Cajuste? Feel like they aren’t taking advantage of him out there yet.

What are you talking about? Have you missed all the convos about Devon “Juice” Cajuste in this thread alone?

I’d like to keep this thread on topic, the pro bowl watch for cajuste is in the cajuste thread.

I thought Ward had a poor game today. I noticed him beat a lot. Sometimes it was due to the zone or prevent, but he didn't have a great game. That should clear up the bizarre accustaion that I am some OSU homer.

Take off the scarlet and grey colored glasses, you homer.

Ward didn't give up anything today. The catches you are referring too happened while we were in a bullshit soft zone, and Ward's zone was near the LOS.

Gregggggggg sucks.
