Derrick Rose: Outta Here!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Have no idea how Gilbert or Altman will able to sign the contract with both them sitting on their hands.

If they make it happen, it's MAJOR upgrade over Deron

Rose would basically take Deron's role.

I'm sure Lue plans to play Rose and Irving together at times.

Calderon is the perfect 3rd PG.

Does he fit?

Last year he shot less than 1 three a game, so his percentage doesnt matter to much, but he is not a good 3 point shooter for his career, but i feel he could light up backup pg's and be a solid contributor for 25 mins a game.

I think we have enough 3 point shooting. There will be 2-3 guys coming off the bench that shoot 40% or better. That is enough and more than Rose has had his whole career. He should thrive with our shooters.

Well said...though let's see if it actually happens first before patting Gilbert/Altman on their backs.

If this is all he is, that's great. I'm sure he'd be ok as a spot up shooter in certain circumstances.

I just don't like Calderons game all that much, but as a 3rd, meh ok.

What is there to really talk about...?

We will offer whatever is left of the MLE for one year.

If he wanted more money he wouldn't be talking to us.

If he wanted more than a one year deal, he wouldn't be talking to us.

He knows he would come off the bench.

Therefore if this deal doesn't get done it was a smokescreen on Rose's part for another team to have the guts to pay him.

Premature rec-baiting is the path to a Golden Penis.

Calderon is far from a perfect 3rd PG. But it's a lot more acceptable than him being the backup.

I hope he stays healthy. If so, this is a very good signing.

It's really hard to imagine a 28 year old who is still very explosive and just put up 18/4/4 not getting more than the minimum (or even more than the Cavs $2.5 million remaining mid-level) from some team out there. Especially if we are talking a one year rental...like it's low risk - high reward.

Might as well just pack the kings bags Gilbert

Wow this would be a great signing,,,I don't want to get my hopes up yet.
As for Calderon he can keep his game sharp down in Canton for all I care.
