Oh great, if he signs with the Lakers, we'll have to deal with horrible story lines like, "Rose bypasses LeBron's current team for his future squad."
 
Kyle Korver better be telling DRose CLE is place to be cause he's exactly what we need when Warriors throw Livi at us we can throw DRose in to torch him which Rose is still capable of in limited minutes

But unfortunately at this point i 100% agree this is a leverage play.

Before today had anyone talked about him? All I'm saying is that if Rose wanted to sign with the Cavs we would have heard that first, not he was talking to them? Its just like when you hear about a trade 9.9 times out of 10 it never happens. Did you hear a report about Jimmy Butler going to the Timberwolves before it was a done deal, no? This is how the nba works. When you hear stuff in the media its all about leverage and trying to get deals done.

Well he will sign for a non playoff team for 4.3 and be a backup if he goes to LA... Cavs long playoff run will let him showcase his skills more

That doesn't give them any leverage. It just doesn't.

Yes, sometimes leaks are done to increase leverage. Not denying that. But not all media leaks are for leverage and in this case, regardless of Rose's intent, this doesn't really give them very much leverage. And to answer your point about how many times we've heard his name... it's actually come up in relation to the Bucks, T-Wolves and a few teams.
