Do you guys think Rose will be able to guard Steph? He was good on Kyrie last night, but of course Steph is much better.

Rose doesn't do a a great job selling fouls. Its been a problem his entire career and what shortened his prime. He's going so hard to the basket, but doesn't know how to finesse and still create contact.
He's not a great shooter so its important that he gets to the foul line.

He never has. He avoids contact to put up difficult shots. Those shots where he is jumping away from the rim ad putting up one handers are incredibly difficult and never draw fouls.

I think he'd be fine. Kyries almost a tougher guard than Steph in some ways...
Steph is a weird guard...he's not crazy quick or explosive off the dribble so lateral speed doesn't matter much...strength, physicality, instincts and IQ are the most important things in guarding Steph.
I actually think Wade, going balls to the wall in a 7 game series, could be a good choice to guard Curry. Wade is smart and will make the right rotation, will be physical and will be allowed to get away with it more than most, he's a great help defender which is important...

He is not suited well for our Starting lineup at all. He wants to run. But we don't have enough shooters out there with him or athletic bigs to do that. He looks the best playing next to JR, Korver, Green, and Tristan.
I would prefer to see Calderon start games for us. He's going to play the pass first and look to get guys involved. He'll take care of the ball and can help spread the floor with Wade out there. Let Rose run the 2nd unit.

Yeah that makes a lot of sense. I hadn't even really thought about putting Wade on Curry. His length could give Steph problems too.
This could be Wade's last hurrah on the championship stage. He's not going to be a star on offense, but winning a ring by emptying the tank to disrupt Curry on defense would be a heckuva way to go out.

Or, alternatively, let JR start instead of DWade so we have 4 shooters out there with him. I think someone else may have suggested that once or twice on the board.

I would expect Rose to improve as the season goes along.
He's 6 months out from meniscus surgery. In researching that topic before, my conclusion was that it seemed to take guys about one year to get back to their full level before the injury.
I just hope he doesn't get hurt again in the meantime.
