He’d lose 70M from Nike if he retired. He’s not going anywhere.
Don't see how this can possibly be true. Even when playing, the team has been better with him off the floor. His only potential role is as an instant offense guy off the bench, benchut he's not good enough to do it every night, and the Cavs already have a guy in a similar role who's just better at it.
Now with Jose (shockingly) playing decently, and IT coming back, there are just not minutes for him. The other night, Lue went 10 deep without IT, Shump and TT. I don't see any argument for him to play over those 13 players.

This is why I didn’t want Rose in the off-season when the Cavs were considering him. There’s just something about his character that seems off. From questions about whether he was healthy enough to play back with the Bulls, to his super team comments with NY to his questionable decision making with the female accuser, the guy just seems to be a bit of an idiot. I feel for any player that has terrible injures over and over again; I’m sure that sucks. But the fact that he’s willing to throw in the towel doesn’t surprise me at all. But honestly I’d be relieved if he was off the Cavs. I’d rather someone else in his spot. Just don’t think he’s a reliable player or a good high quality person.
I think it will easier in the sense that they can now focus on running plays specific for him. I think if he comes back he is in the rotation, nothing Lue has said makes us think otherwise. There were alot of issues outside of Rose to start the season. I actually think the injuries helped to work those issues out. Everyone outside of LeBron were playing minutes in the mid to low 20's. Once injuries started happening guys minutes naturally went up and they had more time to get use to each other.
Let's not forget Rose was averaging 14.3 points in 27 minutes for this team. This team needed to come together and figure out how to play together. I personally didn't think Rose was the issue, effort on both ends of the floor was. This team was playing maybe 6-8 minutes of defense in the 4th quarter to try to beat teams before. They were sleep walking on both ends of the floor.
He was averaging 14 points on 47% shooting, no threes and very few fta. He's averaging more turnovers than assists on the year.
I don't know, man... he just doesn't contribute to winning anymore.
Poor guy was just born with weak connective tissue. Could have been a great one, but time to hang it up.

Right, he signed a 13-year contract with Adidas in 2012 for $185 million, not hard to find those headlines still on the internet. Supposedly there were some performance clauses that could have boosted the value to $250 million, but I imagine he lost those long ago. By 2015 that Adidas contract was a laughingstock, and if they could have annulled it because of the rape suit I think they would have.I wonder what Adidas thinks about his secret Nike deal...
