So if this goes to court he could file a temporary restraining order against the league and start the season right?
I wonder if the Browns kinda felt this was a strong possibility the entire time which is why he has been taking so many snaps with the first team, even yesterday and today.

This is total bullshit man.

Give us some football. The NFL exists to organize the playing of football games not to serve as some kind of alternative criminal and civil court system.

If the NFL hates Watson that much just kick him out of football forever and be done with it. He's already lost a year from his career.

He could, but why would he want to? It isnt going to be zero, and if it ends up being a full year, the injunction (not restraining order, Watson isnt worried Goodell will violate him) would go into next year.

If i had to guess, they will try and get it through court asap and Watson serves his 6 games to start the season plus what ever the court decides if any.

Could be a double edged sword there.
Yeahhhh, for sure, because if the NFL does come down with a year which is held up in federal court, you could have Watson wiped out for almost two years essentially screwing us even worse.

Then he would miss games later in the season... He shouldn't play while this is pending...
I wonder if that’s even an option?

Is he allowed to serve his 6 games, if they decide to sue? Then play game 7 and so on and wait for the ruling. Then serve additional games after?

Yes.

Deflategate took 544 days, fyi. And the NFLPA can absolutely string this along at the hypocrisy of the NFL.

I have no idea how this works. I only know what Zeke did...

Federal Court isn’t gonna change shit. The agreement is collectively bargained and legally binding.

Sure, but I also think the PA makes a good faith argument that the new agreement is the same as the old agreement, if in the first attempt, the NFL operated on the same processes as prior to the contract.

Whether or not it works is beyond it, but I’m pretty sure the PA isn’t rolling over. If there were good faith discussions about offering 12+fine, and Roger goes over it, it’s in writing that the league overstepped their own evaluation of punishment on the same case.

I don't think it is. This appeal nullifies the entire skeletal framework Robinson tried laying out in her decision imo. They are back to Goodell's whims as judge, jury, and executioner.

No if you read it, it says the appeal has to be based on her findings, no other testimony or anything.

This whole Watson charade is just so disappointing.. I just want to watch my browns and to be excited for football season but there is a huge black cloud over the team.. thinking I should cancel my season tickets so I don’t continue to line the pockets of goodell and the rich fucking owners

Yes it is, including the appeal process. The facts reviewable in the appeal were set by Robinson and are binding. Goodell can't base his evaluation on anything else except the material Robinson evaluated and admitted. What is he going to base his decision to extend it on?
