Deshaun Watson: Third Highest Paid QB in the AFC North (OUT for 2023)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
A big part of the instant popularity that Joe Flacco gained around here has little do do with Deshaun Watson's personal life and everything to do with what Joe Flacco looks like.

The coded language was obvious enough when "fans" couldn't help themselves and couldn't find a way to be happy about Joe Flacco without bringing Deshaun Watson into the discussion.

I didn't say that at all. My point is that I don't want this complete scumbag playing for the Browns, which you even acknowledged that he is a "piece of shit." A big part of the instant popularity that Joe Flacco gained around here is because many of us know that Watson is a serial predator and unapologetic sociopath, and it was quite refreshing to cheer for someone like Flacco instead. The Browns would be wise to see if they can void the contract and cut bait with Watson, who has been a below-average quarterback since arriving here.

I dont believe he did what he is accused of on this latest one, the other attorney, Buzbee, wouldnt take her case for a reason. Desean refuses to settle for a reason. They are trying the case in the court of public opinion and are saying hugely inflammatory things to get people riled up. Fact is, if she was a victim, Buzbee would of been more than happy to take her on as a client too.

Oh, and having sexual contact with a mentally disabled is a crime, and there are zero criminal charges against Watson. I do think Watson was a piece of shit for what he did to those woman, I just dont think there is any evidence he did any of those things to this woman in particular.

If DeShaun Watson were a rock star, he would be Jackson Browne. You see that early stardom and some undeniable talent... but there's questions if it's all a product of his surroundings.

Then the seedy underbelly gets exposed. It becomes hard to tell what is real and what has been embellished. In the end, the talent is there but the confidence is shot.

I saw Jackson Browne live about ten years ago. He is floating along and has the undeniable chops yet still relies on support to get through. Maybe Watson isn't as good as some people thought, but boosting his confidence might get some returns on the investment.

I saw Jackson Browne at Blossom during the Carter Administration. Thanks for reminding me how fucking old I am.

Are you saying Watson is running on empty?

Nope. Where there is a biblical amount of smoke, there is fire and this guy doesn't deserve any benefit of the doubt. Fuck him.

Better article here, just one of 3 remaining, but 2 were from a different lawyer because they really had no case against him, the third is the original, she is out for blood, not money. Cant say I dont blame her, but zero chance this leads to further suspension because its not new.
She should be out for semen. That's when the windfall comes to town.

I caught his "Love is Strange" tour in 2010. Time flies. The late David Lindley supported him and as usual killed it.

So Jackson Browne's last album was titled: Downhill From Everywhere... not a good sign for DeShaun Watson!!

Folks that are clamoring for a Flacco reprise mystify me. Did they not see his last game, giving a playoff game away like a regifted fruitcake? Watson hatred is clouding normally competent thinking. Joe sure isn't any kind of year long answer as qb. He stepped into a great situation and squeezed a lot out of it, but he's basically done. He just doesn't have the desire to do all it takes to be the guy. I'd rather roll with DTR or Jacoby (or someone like him) if Watson gets hurt again.

I'm not sure I understand, especially why Baker has been brought up.

He said the Browns FO is competent for once, but then hours later implied the Browns never draft good quarterbacks in the first round. Ray Farmer drafting Johnny Manziel and Phil Savage drafting Brady Quinn has zero to do with our current FO.
Exactly. So how was he arguing with himself? Current front office is competent, previous front offices couldn't draft a decent QB. Both things are true and consistent with both quoted posts.

Great debate guys…. Should keep it going forever

Edit: I don't have the time and energy to explain how sarcasm works.

When the Browns are 5-1 to start next season again with a "below-average" healthy Watson, nobody will care.
