Diet and Workout Routines

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
You don't really need to blow by people. Just get them on your hip and you can score on them. You can also drive right at the hoop and that forces them to move backwards laterally in which case you have a huge advantage. Stop with a hop and rise up for the shot and they can't really contest well with their momentum going backwards.
Yea Gotta work on that shot.

I'm around 50% spot up but if I'm moving I'm at 20, during practice.

I think I get the father dribble, used it today, improvement.

Why is the dip so important?

Also, how do you feel about a lower release point? It's so quick, and seems so accurate.. less power and no arc though

Dipping is important because it gathers your momentum. When you jump from a stand still you lunge your upper body forward and down, bend your knees and swing your arms down.

It adds, Rhythm and power to your shot. I'm personally not a fan of a lower release point. I like a very high upwards extension. Some people confuse set points with release. I don't even bother with set points or shot pockets. Just a fast one fluid motion upwards after the dip.

For fucks sake am I weak right now.

Seriously doubt I could even beat a slug in a fight right now let alone a fucking snail

It's hyper ultra busy time at work and I've been putting in 70 hour work weeks and will until 11/2.

Fuck balls

it comes back fast man :) crank out some push ups to get your mind right

So I made a new workout routine to try out. I loved the simplicity of Texas Method/Starting Strength, but i hated how import each day was..if you missed a day, it kind of fucks you as the routines are too similar to run back-to-back. So I wanted a less intense schedule, but most of the "body building" routines are just too much fucking around with dumbells. I also wanted something quick, so i can have a greater chance of working out on a busy day and can add more shit if i feel like it.

Monday:
Squats 3x5
Lat pull downs 3x8-10
chest press 3x8-10 (my gym has those dope HammerStrength machines)

Wednesday:
Deadlift 1x5
Weighted Chin ups: 1 unweighted set, 3 weighted sets (decreasing weight to allow more reps), 1 unweighted set
Weighted Crunches: Since my body would be fried after deads and chins, and i never really work my abs

Friday:
Overhead Press 5x5 (trying to get Dwight shoulders)
Light squats 3x5 (like 135-185lbs)
DB Curls 3x8-10 + more if i feel like it (I also never really worked my biceps before)
Cable flies 3x8-10

Quick, simple, I can go heavy and high rep, its all my favorite lifts, and I'm not benching any more (probably my favorite part lol...i hate benching)! oh and theres warm up sets before each exercise, but nobody wants to read about that. I ran it this week and I feel really good about it

haven't lifted weights in about 3 weeks. I hate it but love it. As Moz said, super busy at work right now, and will be until December. I know you can throw the, "if you can find 20min to stroke the slug, you can find 20min to lift" spiel, but I haven't felt like doing shit.

Will get back on the bus though. Haven't lost anything too serious as I still stay active in other things, but can tell I am not as "tone" as I used to be 3 weeks ago. I eat a ton.

My girlfriend has two cousins from China living over here. One is a college student at Uc Davis. Every time he comes here it's like he hasn't eaten in months.

I just watched him devour two 12 oz steaks and about 4 handfuls of white rice.

So what are we looking at here 2800 calories or so in one sitting?

Earlier we went out for Chinese food too and I'd say he had at least 800 calories there plus breakfast this morning.

my gym has so many jacked dudes with arms bigger than my thighs (i have some thick thighs). like a majority of the men there are big as fuck..but i have yet to see a single person squat, even to 2/3 depth. they all have this tremendous upper body and tiny little toothpick legs, like wtf it looks so bad..if you're that obsessed with being a big mass-monster, why neglect half of your bod?? especially the half that connects you to the ground and makes you look like an athlete...

/rant

also i saw a girl wearing a stringer tank top..with a hood... what douchebaggery is this??

There's a guy at my gym who wears his tanks like this. He's affectionately known as "Nipples".

My skin still hasn't recovered from last cycle.

It's been a month. It should be better.

I just finished my second month doing StrongLifts. I haven't lifted in a gym since college, about 10 years ago. I had done Insanity and P90X with my wife, but my diet was never great so I never really lost as much as I wanted. It did help build a little muscle, which is nice.

For those of you who have done StrongLifts, or another similar type program: how long should I be doing this program? I'm up to 280lbs on the squats, at what point does doing 5x5 squats 3x a week start hurting recovery? It seems like a lot to be doing every other day, or is that normal?
