DONE DEAL Joe a Cav!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Joe is expected to get to Cleveland tonight, practice tomorrow, and then we'll see.

Windhorst:

Joe Smith was expected to arrive in town Wednesday night and sign his contract in time for practice today. on Thursday. He will probably be activated for Friday's game in Boston, though the team expects him to be a bit rusty, having not played in a game since Feb. 10.

A locker next to Ben Wallace is cleared and is waiting, and his other locker room neighbor is a former neighbor. Williams and Smith lived near each other the two seasons they played with the Bucks and became very close. They've kept in touch over the past last two years playing on different teams. and Williams has even gone out and stayed with Smith in Phoenix during the off-season at times.

Last year, Williams recorded a few songs with Smith, who is a budding musician who and put out his first mix tape album in December.

"He's a great person besides a basketball player. I'm happy to have him," Williams said. "We've cut a couple records together, I'm not sharing any lyrics until he puts the CD out and I get paid."

i will only buy joe's cd if he puts z on a track.

we can trot him out for a few minutes against boston, i'm sure he's in better shape than d block

Windhorst on the delay with Joe. It makes sense now.

• Joe Smith isn't going to practice Thursday it doesn't sound like, so Friday in Boston is a little up in the air. I was told he wanted to spend a few days with his family at home in Phoenix before coming to Cleveland to get started. He will probably be activated on Friday and he knows the system so maybe he'll even play. But letting him take his time was part of the deal.

Joe just doesn't seem like a rapper to me. His smile led me to believe he was more of Marvin Gaye and Temptations kinda guy.

I listened to about 30 seconds of 3 of his songs and it is bad.

YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooo!!!!!!

:eek::eek::eek::eek:

That is awesome, but there's no way he didn't take 3.5 steps on that. The ref must have also been in awe. I only noticed because I was like, "damn I should pull that one out this week", and realized I couldn't do it without traveling.

Dude, that IS NOT a travel!! Not even close. I remember seeing that play on TV years ago and falling off my bar stool. Don't forget, Z was a true PG before he hit that inhuman growth spurt when he was a teen. Dude has serious skills.

BTW, that move is nowhere near as impossible as you make it sound. With practice, you should be able to pull it off fairly easy. I can definitely do it(minus the dunk, of course. Unlike Z, I'm a C in a PG's body:chuckles:)

Yeah, if you're a little guy you NEED to be able to work that move, especially if you've got a guy on you that's got his hands low and slaps the ball away.

Should be able to go from strong to weak hand and up pretty easily.

I've been watching it for awhile and I'm willing to take back the travel call. It looks like two steps, which would get me called for a travel, but certainly not in the NBA. He picks it up on his left foot, takes step with right and jumps off left.

I think the guy would have to be sitting under the hoop for me to fake it and get it up in one step on the run. I'd probably just lean in and take the contact in that case. I don't think I'd notice the wolf and have the presence of mind to go around my back rather than just straight up with it.

I CAN do it as an undefended layup, but what's the point?

LOL, definitely not a little guy.
