How are you guys complaining after a win where Mitchell kept driving to the paint while clearly playing hurt? Ridiculous.
When is Mitchell not hurt in the playoffs? I hear that after every single post season game he plays. Garland carried him tonight, he was poor like he usually is in the post season

He was some kinda pissed during that postgame interview. Bodes well for his headspace on Friday, hopefully his body follows.

Mitchell had 14 (on 6 FGA) and 4 in the 4th quarter. The complaints about his play down the stretch make little sense.
His play for the entire game? 9-23 and 2 assists/4 turnovers. You think that's a good game?

Not particularly. But a previous post complained that Mitchell “made horrible decisions down the stretch” of Game 5. That’s the criticism I find totally misplaced, which is why I said, specially, that “[t]he complaints about his play down the stretch make little sense.”

Mitchell’s fourth quarter was not nearly as pretty as Paulo’s, but he was similarly effective (14 points on 6 FGA vs 16 points on 9 FGA).

I don’t think Mitchell has looked great after game 1 other than in spurts, but ultimately, we need him to be effective when it counts most. He did that in the fourth quarter.

Yes. If he has fourth quarters like last night's, where every point mattered, and it's a win, then the other three quarters are irrelevant.

Every point matters the entire game. If he played like he did in the 4th quarter the entire game, we might have been watching the scrubs play out the 4th quarter.

If he played like he did in in the fourth for the entire game, he would be on the bench in street clothes for the second half and we would be watching the Cavs getting waxed by opposing scrubs in the 4th quarter.

Information about Don's knee is out there. It's willful ignorance at this point.

I get it. It's the playoffs. No excuses.

But to pretend like his knee isn't bothering him is crazy.

He's top 15 in the league healthy.
He's always injured when the playoffs roll around. His body and style of play don't hold up. Only going to get worse as he ages

Donovan ultimately gutted it out, but he looked scared and shook to me out there. His passing was non-existent in a game where his scoring was poor.

His 3 point shooting is most alarming because he can't get to the rim without it

I understand the knee, but I want him to pass because it makes him very dangerous. Instead he has been very loose with the ball and hanging onto it too long. His#of dribbles during the hot streak was great, he really moved it. Too much driving and dribbles for a guy whose knee is bad.

Dish and relocate

I guess you never watched him on the Jazz
