Draft Express trade rumor: Jamison to Cavaliers

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If we got the 5th pick theortically I would want Brandon Jennings. He is just a good player. He has been my second favorite player for 2 years. Just a baller. Europe was good for him to learn defense but he will flourish in the NBA style game book it. I really don't think this trade at ALL is worth it. Like I said there is probably just as good of a chance to get some one just as productive late 1st or even second round because this draft is not deep. I would try to move into 15 or around there and get Terrence Williams or Sam Young.

This kinda talk reminds me of the morons who thought we had a legit shot at getting Mayo last year... :chuckles:

I was all over this one last year.

Without the 5th pick, I ask myself two things- does Jamison greatly help us in our quest for a championship and is he worth giving up 2010 cap space for? The answer to the first is probably 50/50, but I think the second is a clear no, especially if we are taking on Mike James. We get Jamison, but we still won't have a young center or a big SG. One of those might be able to get filled with the MLE. If the 5th pick is included, though, I think it's worth it depending who is on the board. I really like Harden, and as much as Curry would fit nicely with Bron, a backcourt of him and Mo would be awful. If Harden or Derozan are there, I think we can fill out our team nicely.

Mo/West/Boobie
Harden (Derozan)/West
Bron
Jamison/AV/JJ
Z/ MLE (Zaza or Gortat- but there's going to be a lot of competition for them, IMO)

Suddenly, we have 4 guys that can take advantage of their matchups and Big Z. We get some depth of front with Zaza, AV, and JJ (some much needed youth there, though, I think we'd still be lacking a quality starting center). We have a big SG to who would match up well with everyone else (not that Delonte does a bad job of it) But, Delonte would be awesome as a 6th man for us.

Mike James is a 6m expiring btw.

If there has to be a filler, I'd rather see what Etan Thomas (if available - coming off an injury) would be able to bring. He's in a contract year as well. I don't know what the status of his recovery is right now (torn knee ligament).

depends, if, like i think, we have to give up JJ, i'd rather have mike james because his contract would fit without giving up sasha...

if we keep sasha, we can possibly trade for some more pieces..

He would be a good option if we lose Andy. Forgot about him...

Am I the only one still drooling over the possibility of getting James Harden? Dude is a stud.

Ehh? He's not all that in my opinion. He's no Dwayne Wade. He's more Eddie House. Maybe 10% chance that he's above average in the NBA. Maybe. There is a long history of those "atypical scorers" just not cutting it in the NBA.

My best guess is that he ends up being an journeyman NBA player if he works really hard, but it seems is almost just as likely to end up out of the league in 4 years.

Yeah, I am not a big fan of Harden's either. Was never impressed with him and he didn't seem like a kid who would be a big time player in the NBA. That doesn't mean he can't have a good career, but I wouldn't draft him too high.

That's the problem with this year's draft. Harden ends up in the top 6 by default when he'd be in the late teens, early 20's in most other years.

You can say that about everyone in this draft, except Griffin and maybe Rubio.

can we just have another "2003 draft" that would be great.
