In the week and a half after he hurt his knee against Chicago, the injury that some people here are still in denial about, he played in five games and averaged just 9 PPG and 37.5% from 3. In the five games before he hurt his knee against Chicago he averaged 14 PPG on 64.3% three point shooting, looks like a little bit of a dropoff to me.

We should want him healthy enough to look like one of the greatest 3 point shooters in NBA history again, which he has the capacity to be, not limping around looking like just another decent 3 point shooter.

That's a bit of cherry-picking though on my already small sample size.

The five game period you mention was from February 27th to March 6th. Excel tells me that is 7 calendar days, or just one week

LOL, for a guy who hands out disagrees so regularly you have a pretty thin skin. The Chicago knee injury which clearly exacerbated his foot problem happened one week and two days before the last game he played in -- he played his last game on Monday March 6th against Miami and hurt his knee playing Chicago on Saturday February 25th. So "I should have stopped playing a week and a half earlier" means "I should have stopped playing right around the time I hurt my knee against Chicago".

Amazing I can have Kyle Korver, on tape, saying I'm right that he hurt his knee in the Chicago game, I'm right that his knee was still hurting the day after that game, I'm right that he should have been shut down after that injury, and people will still want to argue about it.

That last paragraph tells me you are missing my point entirely.

I'm not arguing if Korver hurt his knee. That's a fact. He did. But it was obviously something that he could play through without further damaging it and something that can get better while playing on it, like Tristan's been dealing with this season...if it wasn't, why would a team that just rested people just to do it and faced massive backlash over it, then turn around and play him through it...they wouldn't.

What I am arguing is that you are assuming the knee and foot injuries are connected. They aren't. That's a fact.

And I'm quick to give out disagrees and have thin skin? Really?

I've been called a child cancer patient hater, a fag, a Dolan fanboy, been harassed through tagging, had my opinions laughed at multiple times, had my opinions made jokes multiple times, have been harassed by a mod...yet here I am, still posting a bunch on this forum...and I have thin skin somehow?

Doubt it.

And only disagrees I give out are to blatantly terrible posts, and people who randomly give me one without even having the common decency to respond to the post they disagree with and tell me why...you know, the entire purpose of forum based discussions...

Someone asked if Mike Aviles would be extended or re-signed by the Indians when his contract was up in a series thread a few years ago...this was while his daughter was going through chemo and cancer treatment....I said no I think they let him walk, and then a douche poster proceeded to lambaste me for like 15 posts saying I'm a child cancer patient hater, I want his daughter to die, I'm a terrible person, etc., etc.

No mod did anything, he never apologized, and still hasn't...so fuck him/her/it.

But this isn't the place to be talking about that.

I was going to look up Aviles' numbers while he was with the Indians and discovered that the first search result for Mike Aviles is "Mike Aviles calves".

And understandably so. Holy fuck.

The third result is his wife. Also holy fuck. Probably cause of his calves.

Also, @cavsfever you want to see thin skin and quick disagrees?

Sir'Dom has been here for less than half a year, and has tossed out 9 less disagrees than I have in over 5 years.

But since he too has the in-explainable logic that you have, I'm sure you won't give him shit for that...

Lets do a simple math lesson, since you gave me a simple anatomy lesson.

1 week = 7 days.

1.5 weeks = 10.5 days.

Time frame between Korver's knee injury, and last game = 8 days.

You're really reaching to make the knee injury fall in line with the time frame of the foot injury. You really don't want to accept that they are 2 unrelated issues.

But I'll take it as a win that someone who is actually paid to cover the team, is around the players, and gets to have personal contact with the players liked my previous post...

This hardly seems worth continuing, but I just want to point out that the time frame between Korver's knee injury and the last game he played on Monday March 6th is, as I said, one week and two days -- nine days, not eight.

Chicago game -- Saturday the 25th
Sunday the 26th -- one day
Monday the 27 -- two days
Tuesday the 28th -- three days
Wednesday the 1st -- four days
Thursday the 2nd -- five days
Friday the 3rd -- six days
Saturday the 4th -- seven days
Sunday the 5th -- eight days
Monday the 6th -- nine days

When someone says "a week and a half" I don't think they are racking their brains about ten days vs nine days. They are giving their rough feel for the time frame. So I don't think it's a reach at all that Korver was referring to the time frame of the Chicago game.

In general my sense is that a knee injury will change how you use your feet, I didn't think that was controversial either.

And Bimbo...we can come together on one thing...I for one am sure your heart bleeds for childhood cancer patients just like the rest of us.

Those calves were huge. Skinny guy with fat guy calves stuff. Made no sense.

But yeah...Indians section has thickened my skin. Laugh at it looking back on stuff that was said by me or to me from a few years ago.

Also...could be because he's a rich ball player...or the calves...

How do you even count that? I disagreed with your post because I thought it was poetic justice.
I'll undisagree now.

Dude...we're not going to agree on this.

You are assuming the knee caused the foot, I am basing this on his past issues with his feet and something his teammate said about his shoes.

One of those is a bit more concrete, but you aren't accepting that, so lets move on...no point in continuing this...it's like 2 walls arguing with each other, just one is made of brick and the other is made of sticks...

Yes, the injury sucks...but it won't change my mind that fans tossing shit at the coaching staff and training staff for supposedly playing old role players through injuries you are assuming can get worse or lead to other things, while at the same time that same group is getting shit on for sitting players out of games just for rest, will never, ever make sense to me.

And with what I have seen first hand at their practice facility, with the monitoring and the shit they hook up to the players, and the attention to detail the training staff puts in during this, I am not buying that this is a group that would willingly play an aging vet through something that can get worse.

Let's just move on, and hope he comes back ASAP so we can get back to talking about how he is playing, not why he isn't playing right now...THAT is the one thing we can agree on.

How do you count disagrees? It's on your page.

I've given out 76, received 111. You've given out 66, received 159.

Good for you. But why did you even check that out? Anyways, most of the disagrees I have received and given were because of the dispute we had and everything that followed it.
Not stressing that. Still #Striving4GoodDisagreeRatio

I wasn't doing that to prove a point dude.

Not everything I do is a personal vendetta against you man. Just showing you that you can find them easy, not that I am stalking all your posts and counting the disagrees into the wee hours of the morning.

And I only used you since you gave me a disagree right then and there, so it was easy to look up...someone else could have come along and done the same thing and I would have used them...nothing but a coincidence that it was you.

And disagrees are a good thing, as long as the person who drops the rating responds to the post and continues the discussion. The drive by disagree has started way too many arguments and fights that have crossed over the line and have ended with poster(s) being banned...

No problem. I wasn't offended.. just responded in a "comical" manner.
