Farewell, Sasha Kaun (traded to Philly)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Looks like he played pretty well too..

Saw only a few plays from the CSKA Moscow - Minny game, Sasha Kaun looked bigger and stronger. Finishing well around the hoop.

I forgot this man existed.

I also immediately looked at the Timberwolves roster believing he was on their team now. Merely cause he is foreign.

foreign AND white, the perfect timberwolves criteria

How? This thread revives itself somehow every year. We're just waiting for him to finally become the big-man we need. :chuckles:

Truthfully, I'm hoping that Kaun can be a contributor for the Cavs. I just find it comical that we talk about his play in Russia on an annual basis. It's like clockwork.

I doubt we'll ever see him over here as a Cav. He can play a bigger role and make more money right where he is.

It has kind of turned out that Kaun was a pretty good pick and decent chance to take late 2nd round since he has developed and improved--just likely won't be here. I can see him being put in a future deal to add another asset to it to help get it done.

While I think there's a chance he could actually be a bench/rotation Center in the NBA, the reality is Kaun's already 28. He'd be 29 if he came over for the start of next season. Combined with his history of knee issues, the clock is ticking, probably not someone who'll be playing into his late 30's. All signs point to him being permanently content in Moscow as the window is fast closing.

I was counting on this guy to come over and be our LaMarcus Aldridge. Count me as disappointed.

Ditto ...this is the fallback option if Lebron doesn't come back.. it's kinda a win/win proposition.

The guy nobody will remember was on the team in 20 years.. even the guy that joined the team the day of the last regular season game will be more remembered.

We hardly knew ye. Thanks for hanging out!
