Fast Food

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Fucking Rally's, there is an under rated burger. Also there is a place called Freddy's. The best is still Swenson's in Akron, but that doesn't really count. Whattaburger is pretty good too, also Culvers makes a good burger.

I like Fatburger but it seems they open locations and they close like a year or two later.

We lost fat burger here.

True story, I was bartending years ago and Fat Lever was at my bar waiting for a business meeting. I told him I had an idea. "Magic Johnson great 80's PG, Fat Lever great 80's PG, since Magic has Fat Burger, you should open Magic Burger."

He didn't appreciate my humor, lol....he looked at me and said "That is the stupidest idea I have ever heard"

Still have a great story out of it though, lol

Im always for trying to get a good story.

I was in Vegas visiting my friend years ago and we went to the Hard Rock at 3 or 4am. The whole group is tapped out of money and we were just going to get one or two more drinks before going to sleep. I'm walking on the casino floor and I see Dennis Rodman playing roulette. I have like $10 in my pocket and the minimum to play is $20 so I go around to all my friends asking to borrow a couple bucks so I could say I played a round of roulette with Rodman.

I get enough money and run up to the table, only a couple people are playing with him so I get up right next to him and ready to convert my money into chips to play the next round. Just then one of the pit bosses puts a container over Rodmans chips and he walks away. We waited like 30 minutes to see if he would come back to play but it never happened.

Not sure if you Joey Porter and Levi Jones getting into a fight at the Palms in Vegas, but I was staying there that night. Didn't see the fight, but I saw the cops out front after the fight and sports center that night to find out what happened. Closest vegas story I have, lol

I never liked Wendy's burgers. But I love their spicy chicken. And the chili...which reminds me, I haven't gotten their chili in way too long.

Hate to break it to you, but if you like their chili then you're eating their burgers!

Not sure if this has been discussed already, but I've heard really good things about Popeye's. This accurate?

I have heard that it's fuckin' awesome.
I mean, it's another chicken place to me. It's good, for sure. But not like the greatest thing ever or anything.

Haven't had it in awhile though.

For the record, I was quoting that Little Nicky movie. I've never actually been to Popeyes. They have them around here but none are close enough to my part of town to make it worth it.

So I use to go to KFC every once in a while and there was a Popeyes right across the street. Eventually the KFC closed down because no one was going there. I never had Popeyes because it never really occured to me to try it over KFC.

The first time I had Popeyes I understood why the KFC closed down. Everything they make is better than the KFC counterpart. While they don't have the variety of KFC, they really don't need it. The fried chicken, chicken stripes, and 5 or 6 sides they sell is enough. Their biscuits are light years better than the ones KFC sells.

Imagine if KFC had more flavor than grease and the sides were decent Louisiana-inspired stuff like red beans and rice. I had one at the end of my street in my bachelor days. I'd eat their secret menu fried catfish weekly.

Yeah, KFC's biscuits are garbage. I just throw them out when I get a combo that includes one.

I do think their chicken is really good, though, assuming you have one where it's usually (or always, at least in my case thus far) fresh. I've been to this one between five and ten times and never gotten anything other than piping hot food. It's turned my opinion on KFC completely around. Kind of crazy the difference going to a good location can make.

The Bojangles near me sucks but their food is good enough that it's still worth it sometimes. :chuckle:

Good Bojangles is god tier, though.

I actually like KFC but usually for the variety of things they make with the chicken like the famous bowls or twisters. I also like that they will dip the chicken strips in warmed up sauce which makes them almost like boneless wings.

For straight chicken or chicken strips with sides, I take Popeyes over KFC any day. That being said I do miss having a KFC close to me. I'm always for more variety of fast food with in a close driving distance.

Kfc is better

Shame about the twister

I live in a shitty town in western PA that has nothing but pizza, wings, fast food nd Italian restaurants. Every time a good new place opens up the denizens shame them for their “overly expensive” prices on social media.

There is a split on whether Chipotle is good here but the closest one is almost an hour away. I go way out of my way for it. No close Chick-Fil-A either. There were articles in the paper and lines around town when KFC showed back up.

KFC, McDonalds, BK, Wendy’s, Taco Bell, Arby’s and now KFC are the options. To me, each of these have 1-2 tolerable items and are overall garbage. It is infuriating that people love them so much bc that’s all we’ll ever get.

Hellhole.

There is no such thing as boneless wings. Its chicken nuggets with sauce. A wing has a bone in it, period.
