i really want them to go hard after pek

we get pek, front court is done... pek, thompson, bennett, andy, tyler, makes one of those guys expendable in a trade

use someone to get a SF and be set

They could do a sign and trade. We have to 2nds from Sac. next year...lol. I would do that. AV and the 2 Sac. 2nd rounders.

Why not break the bank for Al Jefferson? He's unrestricted, right?

Cavs won't break the bank for above average guys. They want two types of players. Younger players with upside that can grow and improve or older vets on short term deals so they don't lose flexibility. The 28-31 year old guys who are just above average looking for max money just won't be targets.

Jefferson, Iguodala etc will not be Cavs.

Whether you agree with it or not, the Cavs seem prepared to make an offer to Lebron next year and they seem unwilling to sacrifice that opportunity. Its not a conspiracy theory. It just makes too much sense at this point.

Even if they strike out on Lebron, they want to have cap room to add a star type player using picks and young players in a trade. Next year the CBA will hurt even more.

This summer I expect the Cavs to sign a player or two and trade for a player or two. I don't see them landing a big star before the season starts.

Are you serious? Get real, the Pistons wouldn't even consider that.

Considering the Pistons might lose Monroe next off-season for nothing and reportedly love Tristan Thompson?

I'm sure they'd consider it.....

He'll be restricted, they're not losing him unless they want to

There is not a chance on earth the Pistons would put TT in the same front court as Drummond. Probably the same reason we foolishly didn't consider him either, as those 2 would have no chance of being compatible.

Monroe has a much better offensive game than TT, which is why the Pistons think he can work with Drummond, who is going to be a garbage man while grabbing a shit ton of rebounds and blocking shots.

Monroe is also not a good fit for our team. We need a shot blocker and Monroe is a below the basket type guy.

For some reason some people seem to take offense saying we need a shot blocker.

How about we just say we need a center who can defend the paint? :D

Al Jefferson was like an inch taller than Tristan at the combine fwiw.

We don't need a shot blocker.. I think we overestimate the value of shot blocking here. What we need are players that care to play defense. That means from the 1-5. Expecting one man to make up for the deficiencies of 4 others is asking for the Moon; i.e., setting oneself up for failure.

I don't mind getting another offensively capable big, but someone who can at least defend the paint reasonably well. I just don't want a stiff though, certainly not a defensive 'specialist' type player.

Been seeing tweets about Mo Williams, says he wont resign with Utah unless hes the starter.. He sure as hell wouldnt start here but he loves CLE and Brown so maybe he could be our back up PG?

do you really think Mo wants to be a backup anywhere? I would prefer Livingston, keep reading that Shaun will want to much money. do we not have money to spend on a two year deal, just get rid of Gibson and Casspi and that should be more than any other team will offer.
