I think it's subjective, and tough to define.

But watching one poster, notorious (pun intended) for being often unable or unwilling to even loosely satisfy some level of providing credible sources to back up his own theories is calling out another who has consistently done so.

It's an obvious troll move, IMO.

Ok. This is appeal to motive and is unfair. Whatever evidence there is, even if it is slight, how the hell does he defend it? Ironically it's an ad hominem attackj, which is what @Notorious is fighting for other people to stop doing to other people (because this thread is littered with it), and what is continuing to happen to him.

It's stickied to off topic in gold, right above, to stay on topic and notmake this thread about personal attacks.

Furthermore if we're going to agree to "police our own community" and do so by personally attacking posters in mob fashion, we should all agree on what a shit post is. That would be fair, would it not?

1) Now that you have proof the guy is a sack of shit are you going to retract your support?

2) What a preposterous false equivalence. So Bill Clinton and Obama both believed that yes, we should have borders and enforcement as does Trump, therefore he is no different than them even though his proposed policies RADICALLY differ from anything Clinton or Obama ever did. If Clinton and Obama are no different then why the need for change? It is a paradox.

Let's spell out the differences:

There is no analogue to the Muslim Ban. And it is a fucking ban. That orange clown said it himself literally hundreds of times.
There is no analogue to building a huge wall and childishly crowing about having "Mexico pay for it."
There is no analogue to forcing through a misconceived, poorly written and probably illegal executive order without consulting relevant agencies to the point that people who are supposed to be here were frozen out.

There is no analogue to a holistic immigration policy that has been largely conceived of solely to appeal to racist, xenophobic and Islamophobic paranoia that flies in the face of the reality of our immigration policy.

These things are NOT the same. And that is why people are going ape-shit, not some ludicrous conspiracy theory of a media that hates Trump so bad because he won so bigly that they are manipulating precious snowflakes and cucks into an impotent frenzy of losing.

Seems to me this section's definition of a shitpost is anything the person calling a shitpost doesn't fully agree with for whatever reason.

Sessions was denied a District Court seat because of credible allegations of racist remarks. Discussing whether or not he is racist is very relevant.

Furthermore for the purposes of this thread (not directed at you), if one is going to tout a video featuring an objectively racist person, or argue on its behalf, yeah, one might get some blowback for it. The solution, stop posting stuff by racists or defending them. It isn't hard to do.

I agree that the word racist gets thrown around aggressively and was thrown around at Trump voters especially so during the election. A LOT of people in the town I live in voted for Trump, several of my friends voted for Trump and I wouldn't say any of these people are racist. For these people to be grouped in with racists, miscogenists, etc is asinine.

I don't disagree with what you've said above in terms of people being grouped in with racists, miscogenists but it has nothing to do with what I've said about Notorious. I'm talking about a pattern of posting, not one post.

You either read my post about Notorious above and understand what I was asking for or you don't. You either understand that I'm asking for in terms of an advancement of the discussion or you don't.

In fact your one line sarcastic comments with an unverified tweet are much closer to the definition of shitposting than anything anyone else does in these threads.

Gouri doesn't need to be better at sourcing his thoughts, he needs to be better at backing up his ACCUSATIONS.
