Utah looks stupid as hell now. Even if they let him walk, they could have signed him last season to a smaller deal and moved him right now if they felt he wasn't worth the money.
Now they either pay more than what he was asking them to pay earlier, or he leaves for nothing. I loved all their threats to other teams about how they would match. They should have taken the threats from other teams during the season that said they'd sign him to a max offer sheet more seriously. They apparently didn't believe anyone would.

Bad management in Utah. Whether or not you think your players are worth a certain amount of money, when you know OTHER teams think they are and you have a chance to sign them for less than that amount, you do it. Then you trade them. They are needlessly paying this guy about 3 million more a year than they could have been paying him.
