2024 will be Odor's 34th (!) season with the Indians/Guardians organization as both a player and coach.

Very cool to see him finally get a shot with the big club.

The organization is known for promoting guys levels all the time, so possibly LC and/or Lynchburg coaches up to Akron then those spots are for new guys?

3B Coach/Infielders: Mike Sarbaugh (age 57) to Rouglas Odor (age 55)

Field Coordinator (newly created role for Cleveland): Kai Correa (age 35)

Bullpen Coach: Rigo Beltran (age 53) to Brad Goldberg (age 33)

Thank God they got ride of all those old people. Just a couple more to go.

I feel like it’s a newer term that means what you want it to mean but generally seems like a “second manager”

Guy who looks at matchups, cohesion among different parts of the team.

I feel like I first heard that term when Kevin Cash hired Rocco Baldelli as a “field coordinator”

Guaranteed.. if you're a coordinator.. you get credit when anything goes well.. and point the finger of blame at anyone other than yourself when things aren't going well.. It's a perfect job description !!
