I just don't trust a guy who has barely played this year, has looked bad when he has and is hurt all the time.

Our other option right now is a guy who hasn't played in over 2 years, didn't look all that good his last 2 seasons in the league, and is high all the time.

Bogut is the 3rd best player in the NBA in defensive RPM, his defensive impact is still DPOY level this year and that's him playing unmotivated, I agree his injuries is a concern but I don't think hes going to play that many minutes if we get him so he should be good

This Deron Williams potential signing is a bitter pill for me. My little cousin is a bottle girl at a prominent Vegas nightclub. She brought up a bottle to Deron's room and he answered door in underwear and kept trying to talk her into the room. She gets hit on for a living, but said he was a particularly aggressive dick. Plus I'd just seen him like a year earlier on tv talking a bunch of nonsense about his newfound religious conversion.

That said, he didn't rape her or anything, and we do need a backup pg, so I'll get over it.

I don't think it's a dick move when a player gets waived to want to have the choice of where they want to go. And Utah, should at least respect it.

I mean, they could just claim him, but I don't think it'd be smart to piss off an agent like that. You might have to deal with that agent in the future for trades/signings, etc..

Teams treat players like meat all the time, so I don't really have a problem with players trying to exercise power where they want to go.

Eh, I think Williams deserves a shot at a title. He's more than paid his dues to Utah already. He made that team relevant again. It's almost more dickish to prevent him from potentially winning a championship just so he can mentor Dante Exum. If they had a roster that could compete against the top teams in the West, that's another story.

I hear ya. I just think the best way to guard players like Klay is to throw a combination of players at him so he has trouble finding a rhythm. Liggins is a pretty physical guy.

Shump's D has been up and down all year whereas guys like Liggins can't afford to slack off on D or they'd be out of the league in no time.

I wouldn't want Liggins out there for long stretches bc he provides next to nothing offensively compared to other guys in the rotation. I just think he's a useful player to have in certain situations.

Meh, this isn't new. Deron isn't blazing a trail here or anything. Older vets do this all the time. They've paid their dues.
