How did I do? (Fantasy Football Draft)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
What's done is done. Turner is still a great RB and you probably won't get anyone better in a trade. Your reserve RB stable is top notch. I bet you end up dropping Plaxico for a more functional player before he hits his groove. BTW: great call not drafting a backup TE. They are always available.

Speaking of TE's...

What do you think about offering Michael Turner and Owen Daniels for

(1) Rashard Mendenhall and Marques Colston
(2) Darren McFadden and Mike Williams (TB)

In either scenario I'd then trade one of my backup RB's to one of the 4 teams with bad RB depth and try to get their #1 TE.

I'm still afraid of offering for Chris Johnson. If he gets his contract and gets in shape, then he's a top 3 guy...but if Tennessee trades him into a bad situation or he misses games, then who knows?

Thoughts?

I'd do that one, depending upon the TEs available in free agency right now.

Talk me out of the second one.

McFadden has literally nothing around him offensively, aside from his own backup. The starting QB is having concussion tests, and he isn't that good to begin with. They might be tanking for Luck. Tom Cable was all about the running game, and now he is gone. I'd keep Turner over that list of yellow flags.

McFadden seems to be a fantasy darling all over the internet, which is tough to avoid considering. Are you guys hearing a lot of negative, more in-depth reports locally? Or you're just ignoring the hype?

Nothing wrong with McFadden himself, just his situation. Think Steven Jackson up until this year.

Jackson has had great years pretty much every year in spite of that though. If McFadden could play like a young Jackson, I'd do that trade all day long. But if you're suggesting that he individually isn't at the level Jackson has been, then I follow you. I'll be honest in that I haven't watched him play a single down. The other guys I've seen play.

I think what's psyching me out here is the history on RB's in Turner's situation getting injured or slowing down, as well as the fact that he really finished up shitty last year. Turner looked like a cannonball against the Browns, but I didn't get to see any of the shitty games at the end of last year.

The Mendy trade seemed like a no-brainer to me too. I think that's the only one I'm gonna offer anyways.

My turn:
PPR

I picked 8th, 12 team league:

Starting Lineup:

QB- Phillip Rivers
RB (2)- Ray Rice, LeSean McCoy
WR (3)- Miles Austin, Sidney Rice, Johnny Knox
TE (2)- Vernon Davis, Brandon Pettigrew
W/R/T- Jahvid Best
K- Nick Folk (NYJ)
DEF- San Fran
DE (2)- Trent Cole, Charles Johnson
LB-Patrick Willis
DB- Joe Haden

Bench
Fred Jackson, Beanie Wells, Rashad Jennings, Brandon Jackson, Matt Cassel, Vince Young, Roy Williams (CHI), James Jones, Steve Breaston, Evan Moore, Devin McCourty, Jon Beason, and Mario Williams

To me my WR's are weak, but other than that I think I did well. This is my first year doing defensive players.

I've never done a defensive position players league either, but it seems to me you are offense heavy for a 12 team league. Sorry I can't be more help.

I reviewed some Raiders vids, and I want to be clear that I don't think McFadden is at Jackson's talent level. McFadden is tough for his body type, but runs more like Robert Smith of the Vikes than Jackson. The biggest issues is the state of the Raiders, which I believe is a step below where they were last year. Cable teams have a tough running game, with great offensive line play. I don't know if they will keep that attitude.

If people are going to be posting your rosters and looking for good feedback, you really have to include your scoring system and if it is a redraft, keeper, dynasty type league with the number of teams and your draft slot. Otherwise, certain players will be better values.

I'd trade Roethlisberger to one of the teams that doesn't have one of Brady, Manning, Rivers, Brees or Rodgers. You could probably get a good RB out of him at best, and a very good WR at worst.

I traded Roethlisberger for Matt Forte... Good trade right? Other team was desperate...

Well my commissioner is an r-tard and hasn't even invited everyone in our league to join yet, let alone set a date for the draft. I'll post mine when I get it done, but this guy is frustrating the Hell out of me.

Talk me out of the second one.

Not only are the weapons around McFadden suspect, but the Raiders lost Gallery on the O-Line and Cable to Seattle. Gallery is a really solid blocking guard.

With that said, Daniels is meh and Turner averaged only 4.1 yards per carry and could be headed for a quick regression.

I would do both deals.
