How did I do? (Fantasy Football Draft)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Please nobody pass on Megatron this year. HE will be the best WR. If you have picks 8-12, you can snag him with your 2nd round pick and be a happy, happy man.

I traded Roethlisberger for Matt Forte... Good trade right? Other team was desperate...

Oooooh wow I have to question that man's intelligence. Forte is a bonafide 3rd round pick, no dropping, and even being picked ahead of Hillis, hell I'll even pick him ahead of Hillis.

Ben is like a 5th or 6th depending on some leagues. You gained tons of value, credit goes out to you.

How did I do? 12 team league, highly competitive, 1/2 point per reception (2 WRs, 2 RBs, 1 RB/WR). I picked 3rd, with A.P. and Charles going #s 1 and 2.

Team Name = TheTittsburghFeelers
1. (3) Arian Foster
(Hou - RB)
2. (22) Greg Jennings
(GB - WR)
3. (27) Hakeem Nicks
(NYG - WR)
4. (46) Dez Bryant
(Dal - WR)
5. (51) BenJarvus Green-Ellis
(NE - RB)
6. (70) Ben Rapelisberger
(Shit - QB)
7. (75) Jonathan Stewart
(Car - RB)
8. (94) Roy Williams
(Chi - WR)
9. (99) Ryan Torain
(Was - RB)
10. (118) Danny Woodhead
(NE - RB)
11. (123) Ronnie Brown
(Phi - RB)
12. (142) Jordy Nelson
(GB - WR)
13. (147) Greg Olsen
(CAR - TE)
14. (166) Atlanta
(ATL - DEF)
15. (171) Phil Dawson
(Cle - K)

Only things I'm worried about:
- Did I take Dez Bryant too high? He has a ton of upside, but could be very streaky and could be the 3rd option on his own team.
- Can Benjarvis Green-Ellis repeat (or even come close) to last year's production in the revolving-door that is N.E.'s backfield? I'm hoping Woodhead provides some damage-control there if needed.
- Can Greg Olsen perform at a reasonable level? I think he may be a steal with Carolina's new T.E.-centric offense and a change of scenery. Only problem is that he needs some consistency from Q.B.

Your running back situation past Foster is piss poor, but in a 12 team league it's possible there's a bunch of teams who are just as bad or worse. Roethlisberger is a solid pick where you got him. Your top 3 WR's and Olsen are all solid.

I like your general strategy of waiting on a second running back and on a QB. But I think there are better RB options than BGE and Stewart. Guys I like after the 5th or later: LeGarrette Blount, Mark Ingram, Jahvid Best, Marshawn Lynch, Felix Jones and Tim Hightower.

Add Shonn Greene. Dude will be good this year, LT is another year older, Jets have a awesome O-Line. Greene will have a hge bouce back season. Get him as your flex in the 6th. He wont be there after 6 IMO.

so ive heard alot of hype about Daniel Thomas... is he worth it? he just got dropped.. so i can pick him up, but i will have to drop Cedric Benson... should i do it?

8 team league...internet disconnected a few times, but this is what I could manage.

QB Matt Ryan
WR Roddy White
WR Calvin Johnson
RB Ray Rice
RB Matt Forte
TE Antonio Gates
W/R Mark Ingram
K Kaeding
D/ST New Orleans
Backups
Blount
Stafford
Brandon Jacobs
Maclin
Greg Olsen
Steve Smith CAR
Braylon
Colt McCoy

I think I salvaged it pretty well

I personally think he's not all that good. A few of my buddies are Dolphins fans and they've been wholly unimpressed. It's only pre-season, but you can usually get a good idea of what kind of a runner a guy is in the pre-season.

I am in a 8 team league... and this is only my 2nd time doing Fantasy Football,
was just wondering how did on my draft, and what players to watch out for/hate...

1st round: Michael Vick, QB Eagles
2nd: Andre Johnson, WR Texans
3rd: Frank Gore, RB 49ers
4th: Steven Jackson, RB Rams
5th: Ahmad Bradshaw, RB Giants
6th: Jahvid Best, RB Lions
7th: Mike Williams, WR Bucs
8th: Ben Roethlisberger, QB Uknowho
9th: Vernon Davis, TE 49ers
10th: Mario Manningham, WR Giants
11th: Owen Daniels, TE Texans
12th: Saints D/ST
13th: Cedric Benson, RB Bungles
14th: Johnny Knox, WR Bears
15th: Michael Crabtree, WR 49ers
16th: Neil Rackers, K Texans

i also put Crabtree on the IR, and signed Kyle Orton, QB Broncos of the
Waivers...
how did i do? what players do you guys think are gonna be steals? busts?
thanks

Your weakest point is running back. Make sure to look for this years Hillis and claim him off waivers as soon as he has a decent game.

My God, those backs are awful. Mark Ingram could be good, but he should be a bench pickup at this point.

BTW I haven't drafted yet, I'm waiting for the final pre-season game to end.

IMO, you went way too early on Gates and Maclin, but you were lucky to land Marshall and Williams following those two. Way way way too early on the kicker position.

I do like your top 2 RBs and your choice of QB by committee. However, your RB depth is ugly...something that could have been avoided with the early pick of Maclin. Wating so long to pick your QBs should have afforded you with better RB/WR depth.

I definitely wouldn't have gone with the kicker so early. I was always on the outside of the playoffs looking in when I platooned QBs, but that's just me. On the positive side, Steve Smith may end up much more healthy than I previously thought, and McCluster is going to be a contributor this year. Nice last pick.

Alright I'm excited, doing a live draft at my buddy's place tomorrow. It's an 8 person league, man I'm just excited football is back. Who has been the consensus number 1 overall pick for you guys? Foster, Peterson? I feel like my team is never complete without a stud QB, sometimes I shoot myself in the foot taking a QB when I should go RB. I've had Brees the last 2 years and I'm going to try really hard to land Rodgers tomorrow.

8 person league your team is gonna be nasty. According to yr question, #1 has been Peterson in all the drafts I've heard from friends. My draft w/ my close friends is tomorrow. We are a RB heavy group. I'm feeling Peterson foster(if his injury isn't serious, haven't looked up on it) Charles, rice keep em going until Brady & Vick...
