How did I do? (Fantasy Football Draft)

I may be the only one but I feel like you blew it. I like your 3rd pick, apparently the 2nd guy likes Charles more than Foster (I woulda took Foster 2nd in his situation). So kudos. I like your 2nd rounder w/Jennings but what QBs were there? From 3rd on it gets weird. Nicks, eh, BRYANT? Whoa..I just wish I would of seen your draft from the beginning.

Good luck

I wish I was in your league if it was $100+

IMO, in an 8 person league, you can alter your strategy. Typically, the best teams have the best RB and WR depth, but in an 8 team league, everyone should have good depth.

I would go for the stud player strategy.

If you can grab the top player at as many positions as possible, then do it. You can go QB early and grab Rodgers and still get a good RB1 and WR1. You can reach for the top TE and still get a great RB2 and WR2. You can reach for the top defenses and kickers (maybe not kickers).

I know it may be crazy, but I think Rice may be my top RB. The addition of Leach just might make him even nastier than usual.

Rice also has McClain and McGahee out of the way, especially in goal line situations. If you are in a PPR league, you have even more reason to be a believer. I took Rice over Charles in the RCF league, but you can't argue AP's consistency. Foster might have been the product of a lack of competition at the RB position along with Leach's exceptional blocking. You can make the argument for Rice at #2, but I'd still take AP first.

That's why I'm hoping for a little bit of a later pick, I don't think he's going to go that early in my league and I can steal him in the mid to late first.

Alright, here is my team. I'm pretty happy with it. I'm stacked at WR and have a good number one RB. I'm a little worried about Blount being my number 2 RB and my TEs. I decided to take a risk on Moore since Colt seems to love him.

Other than that I'm happy. I picked number 4 and for the first 4 rounds the guy I wanted went one spot ahead of me. I'm thrilled I got Peyton, I know he's hurt but he fell really far in my draft, I think I snagged him in the 4th.

QB1 Peyton
RB Chris Johnson
RB LaGarrette Blount
WR Andre Johnson
WR Calvin Johnson
Flex Dwayne Bowe
TE Kellen Winslow Jr.
D: Eagles
K: Sebass

Bench
WR Marques Colston
RB Jahvid Best
WR Anquan Boldin
QB Matt Stafford
RB Daniel Thomas
TE Evan Moore
D Cowboys

I've never played FFB before, so I had no idea what I was doing. I just really started to get into football the past 2 years, so I have no idea who half the people were. I pretty much just guessed who to pick. The first 5 picks were RB's, and I think that's one of my weaknesses, and I think I have to many WR's.

14 team's btw..

1. Larry Fitzgerald (Ari - WR)
2. Philip Rivers (SD - QB)
3. Dwayne Bowe (KC - WR)
4. Wes Welker (NE - WR)
5. Kellen Winslow (TB - TE)
6. Fred Jackson (Buf - RB)
7. Jonathan Stewart (Car - RB)
8. Tim Hightower (Was - RB)
9. Mike Williams (Sea - WR)
10. LaDainian Tomlinson (NYJ - RB)
11. Dallas (Dal - DEF)
12. Johnny Knox (Chi - WR)
13. Oakland (Oak - DEF)
14. Jason Campbell (Oak - QB)
15. Lawrence Tynes (NYG - K)

Am I the only person that thinks Stafford is going to have a huge, break-out year?

I've considered stock-piling RB's and a couple WR's and waiting til Rd 7, when he's sure to be available. Thoughts?

I have the same feeling about stafford (and so do a lot of experts), but his injury history is very scary. I'd try and get a more dependable QB in the 6th and then take a flier on Stafford because I think he could have a monster year IF he stays healthy.

This is an 8 team keeper league. The way that the keeper rules work are:

You can choose a player as a keeper for a maximum of 3 years.
You can keep a maximum of 4 players, but they will then automatically be drafted for you 2 slots higher than the previous year (ex. Two years ago I drafted Lesean Mccoy in the 8th round two years ago. Last year he was my 6th round pick and this year he is my 4th round pick)
You can't keep any player that you drafted in the 1st or 2nd round (because you couldn't give up a pick 2 slots higher for the next year).
If you want to keep someone that you picked up as a free agent, they will go in the 12th round (ex. I picked up TB mike williams and wanted to keep him so he is in my 12th round slot)

Scoring:

Passing yards = 50 yards per point.
Rushing yards = 10 yards per point
Receiving yards = 10 yards per point
Throwing td = 6 pts
Receiving or rushing td = 6 pts

1. (3) Adrian Peterson RB
2. (14) Dwayne Bowe WR
3. (19) Ray Rice RB (Keeper)
4. (30) LeSean McCoy RB (Keeper)
5. (35) Brandon Marshall WR
6. (46) Marshawn Lynch RB
7. (51) Tim Hightower RB
8. (62) Aaron Rodgers QB (Keeper)
9. (67) Percy Harvin WR
10. (78) Sam Bradford QB
11. (83) Rashad Jennings RB
12. (94) Mike Williams (TB) WR (Keeper)
13. (99) C.J. Spiller RB
14. (110) Jared Cook TE
15. (115) Chicago DEF
16. (126) Jordy Nelson WR
17. (131) Neil Rackers K

After getting Peterson with my first pick, my draft strategy changed and I targeted RBs that have high ceilings but aren't in the best situation/are unproven.

QB- Rodgers
WR- Bowe
WR- Williams
RB- Peterson
RB- Rice
TE- Cook (I think he is going to have a monster year. he finished last year strong and the team got rid of Bo Scaife so that Cook could be the starter. he has the most receiving yards for the titans during the preseason and he now has matt hasselback as a qb. cook is an explosive athlete in the mold of jermichael finley. If you haven't drafted yet, take jared cook.)
RB/WR- Mccoy
K- Rackers
Defense- Chicago
Bench-
Brandon Marshall (no other weapons for the red zone so he'll definitely get more than 3 tds this year)
Marshawn Lynch (finished last year strong and seattle added some pieces to the offense this season. seattle also added tom cable who seemed to really help mcfadden)
Tim Hightower (Seems to be the runner of choice in the shanahan zone blocking scheme that can produce huge numbers)
Jordy Nelson (had a great super bowl and donald driver is 36 years old.. drivers stats took a nose dive last year compared to previous years. this might be the year that someone else steps into the starting role)
Percy Harvin (his migraine issued has been resolved and he has a dependable QB (mcnabb) who seems to get the most out of vertical targets like harvin)
Sam Bradford (stl added more young weapons around him and with josh mcdaniels there his numbers might explode- look at the numbers he got out of kyle orton)
Rashad Jennings (He is one MJD knee injury from being a stud)
CJ Spiller (Explosive athlete just like chris johnson and jamaal charles.. just needs to realize his potential)

Just got done with mine. ESPN 10 man.

QB- Rivers, Stafford
RB- Charles, Hillis, Blount, Jacobs
WR- Calvin, Vincent Jackson, Steve Smith (Car), Mike Thomas, Edwards, Greg Little
TE- Clark, Rob Gronkowski
D/ST- Packers
K- Rackers

Sour I didn't get a 5th RB.

No I agree with you. That's the reason I was okay taking Peyton as my QB. I figured Stafford will be healthy at the beginning of the year if Peyton is still hurt, and he should be putting up good numbers. I also think Megatron is going to benefit from Stafford having a good year.

What do you think of my team?
