If I were to move to the US I would stick with the cavs no question, I have followed them for so long now I feel I support them more than majority of locals

I would try get into NFL though and follow the local team for that

I'm not a huge football fan, I just can't get into it for some reason. Been a Guardians fan since the Swisher, Bourn days. The front office has come a long ways since those signings.

I like NFL as a sport but for me majority of games start at 3-4am Monday morning.

I have never been able to get into baseball, I did enjoy moneyball though and it did make me attempt to get into it

I guess a question for the locals is would you still support the cavs if they changed city/state. I would as I see myself as a cavs fan more than a Cleveland fan but I would much prefer they stay put as I love the home crowd in Cleveland (especially this season)

Even as a non local anymore….. no….

Ravens were the example of that…

Cleveland being the city of the champion is more important for me than the franchise…

Greetings. I'm having a bit of a dilemma. The story goes like this - I've been a Cavs fan for a decade now. Been watching the NBA for about two decades. When I was younger, I didn't really have a favorite team. I'm from Puerto Rico, don't have a local team.

When yours truly graduated from high school, I started following the NBA more. That was in 2011. Was starting to look for a team to follow. The Cavs were in the middle of a rebuild, having drafted Kyrie Irving. I thought to myself, the Cavs are an interesting team because they're young & could be the next OKC Thunder.

The dilemma steams from the fact that I might move to California soon. I'll finally have local teams. That said, the Cavs have such a nice team that it's making me overthink. I would in theory have many Cali teams to choose from.

What would you do in this situation? Part of me thinks it would be weird rooting for the Cavs while living in Cali. I'm considering staying put but want to know what you guys think.

If you're wondering, I would indeed consider the Sacramento Kings. As a matter of fact, they're the front runners, being the closest team to where I might re-locate. Don't worry, the Warriors are not on the radar. As for Baseball, I like the A's.

Location is Salinas, California.
Stay loyal to the Cavs! I was born in Cleveland but live in Los Angeles and rep my Cavs, browns, tribe wherever I go. It’s not weird cuz all of LA is just bandwagon fans anyway who aren’t loyal plus there’s a couple of browns bars in the LA area.

Thanks! I've made the decision to stay loyal. I prefer to watch the games from home anyway.

Get a Cavs tattoo and post the pic to prove your loyalty.
Otherwise, get the fuck out Laker scum!
I would never be able to support the Lakers. There's something about them that irks me. The same thing with the Warriors for obvious reasons.

I was originally a fan of NY teams as we lived in that area and my Dad was a fan of those teams. After moving to NEO it was very difficult to follow those teams and I switched to CLE teams in the mid-70s. As I also lived in London in the 60s and saw Tottenham Hotspur games live that team is my longest fandom. BTW English soccer fans are FAR more intense about their support than we are here and you NEVER change teams.

I live in Sac and I am a die hard Cavs fan (born and raised in Cleveland) but Sac gets my loyalty ONLY when they are not playing the Cavs.

You rock! :)

I've lived in MO and TN most of my life (born in MN), so I've never had a true local team, either. I did live in Joplin, MO when the Sonics moved to OK in 2008, so the Thunder were the closest thing (Joplin is close to the OK border).

Living out in Steinbeck land, just follow the closest team to you. Attend a few games if you can. I got to see the Thunder a few times when I was in Joplin. I'm in Springfield, MO now, so the Thunder are still the closest team to me, but barely (the Grizzlies take about 10 minutes longer to get to, way out in Memphis). The cool thing about my Springfield location is that Darius Garland's dad played college ball here (one of the very few NBA players who has), so he's a bit of a local legend in these parts.

And it's totally ok to have two teams. I haven't been banned yet for living in MO and liking the Thunder, lol

Right.

I’d have given up half of my left testicle to be happy to root for a dominant Tom Brady instead of hoping Johnny Manziel would work out, but here we are.

Not me, i would have given up all of your left testicle.
