Hypothetically speaking, if the Trade Exception is still good and we pull of the Detroit deal for their #1 pick in 2012, what two player would you want? I think I would want Harrison Barnes and Andre Drummond... Could you image the potential of a starting linup of Irving, Eyenga, Harrison Barnes, Triston Thompson, and Andre Drummond.

We would have the best young team in the league by far.

Yeah I wouldn't count on getting another high draft pick so I wouldn't get my hopes up. As for our own pick, depending on how the lottery goes again it should be a pretty high pick no matter what. Drummond, Barnes, Rivers, Beal all in the relm of possibility.

What is this amazing Detroit deal that would have them sacrifice a lottery pick in the deepest draft in the past decade?

maybe twan/varejo/and sac 1st
for rip or ben gordan/ and charlie

the get alot of cap off and get a big man which they dont have outside monroe

still pissed barnes didn't come out this past year, i think we would have been better built for the future if we drafted irving/barnes and kept hickson

I can hear Detroit begging to give us a highly talented player to rid them of money....NOT.

I am really surprised more of the usual people that rip people a new asshole haven't chipped in here :chuckles:

I know this thread is a little ridiculous, I've just been dieing to talk Cavs. How bout this questions, of the top prospects who could enter the draft in 2012, who do you think would best fit for our team, or, who do you want the most. Some of the players I have in mind are Harrison Barnes, Andre Drummond, Anthony Davis, James McAdoo, Jared Sullinger, Perry Jones, Austin Rivers. Who would you want?

My first choice is Harrison Barnes, second Andre Drummond, third Austin Rivers, then maybe Mcadoo if he can play SF at the NBA level

Still not sure if I'm sold on Harrison Barnes. I wanted him last year but I'm sort of glad he returned for his sophomore year so I can get a better look at him.

Harrison Barnes is stiff and looks more like Bruce Bowen to me than Kobe Bryant. Don't get the fascination with him. He's just not a dynamic playmaker out there.

There's about 10 guys in this draft I'd rather have than him.

Lamb's stock is going to rise this season. I see him being a top 10 pick easily. Would be a nice SG to pair with Irving.

I think Harrison Barnes is the ideal pick for us right now. Irving/Eyenga/Barnes/Thompson/Varejao should be able to run with anyone and defend. That being said, I cannot wait for the day that Cleveland has a legit SG on their roster, it has only been what, 20 years?
