If we had 2 high picks in 2012, who would you want?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I really do like Michael kidd-Gilchrist. Some of you may not agree with me but I think he might have a higher ceiling then Barnes does. I also like the Miller kid from Baylor.

I'm a Rivers fan.

Yeah, he just never really inserted himself into the game. Looked very mediocre. I saw a couple times, he went to the basket and threw it off the glass.

Seemed like one of those games that even supremely talented young kids have, but you never know...could just as easily be him getting exposed. My guess is that he bounces back very quickly.

I want Davis/Drummond as far as bigs go, or a wing that can really light it up and finish plays that Kyrie starts. Not sure on River's because while the fire seems to be there I get a gist of cockyness or entitlement because his dad's an NBA coach.

Too early to tell though but college ball should be fun this year.

Trade them for Dwight Howard and one of Orlando's better perimeter players.

A few small adjustments and we're instant contenders.

Irving Howard would be a ridiculous combination. Thompson and Varejao would both clean up after Howard well. It's what they do. Maybe get a Brad Miller type vet to add that extra dimension in the playoffs, and we should be good down low.

Who becomes our perimeter players is the only question mark.

Realistic. Makes sense!

I like Barnes, but I still think his potential is Sean Elliot. Not a bad thing at all, because Elliot was a very good player. But with Barnes, I see his ceiling as a 3rd option on a contender with one or two all-star appearances. That wouldn't stop me from taking him at all, especially if he is the BPA. But im not seeing the Grant Hill comparison. Barnes will probably be a better shooter and comparable defender, but Hill was already a much better slasher and facilitator (sp?) at this level. I would love him on the Cavs, but I wouldn't expect him to be a superstar. The plus side with Barnes is that I think he is one of the safest picks in the next draft. At worst, he is Luol Deng with more range imo. I still wouldn't even consider taking him over Anthony Davis though. With two picks? I would love to get both of them.

Gilchrist and Barnes both seem like 3rd options at best imo. I prefer Barnes, but Gilchrist is a nice player. Miller can play, but something about him seems like he is going to be one of those guys that pads his stats on crap teams his whole career.

Barnes reminds me of Jamal Mashburn. Anyone agree?

Yeah, I could see that. Mashburn was a lot bigger and stronger, so he could handle more contact. The ways they score is pretty similar though.

It's his face.

Seriously, I'm not sure he's got "it" mentally. Barnes demeanor makes me trust him more than Miller, even though Miller's physical attributes overpower Barnes'.

But I do like his game...wanna see more of him.

So uh...what's going on with Drummond? Not watching the game, but he's putting up another terrible line.

Anthony Davis is beasting again.

Same with Jeremy Lamb. 10-17 for 25 points...also 3 blocks. Fucking stud.

Harrison Barnes and John Henson both had big games again.

Man, I want Henson in this draft...

I tried telling you about Barnes. The kid is more special than you've given him credit for. The Paul Pierce comparisons should be seen as more and more fair as you watch him. I've been the biggest Harrison Barnes fan there's been, and I've never thought Grant Hill comparisons were accurate. Paul Pierce has been. Or, a more offensively lethal Luol Deng.

Question, though. What would we do with John Henson if we got him? I'm not knocking Henson, or you for liking him. Heck, I'm actually a Henson fan. I just don't see how we could spend another pick on him when we just drafted Thompson #4 last year (which I was more than a bit sour on). Where would he play? He's not a center. He doesn't have the perimeter ability to be a SF. Just curious where you'd put him.

I think Henson could be a better center than you give him credit for, given his athletic ability. He would need to get bigger though, that's for sure. Since he was an incoming freshmen, he has put on almost 40 pounds of muscle...seems unbelievable because he's still a twig, but he went from 183 to 220. I don't know where you got the SF possibility from...he's a PF who could play C because of his athleticism and wingspan, in my opinion.
