If we had 2 high picks in 2012, who would you want?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
has anyone seen Jerrone Maymon from tennessee?had 32 & 20 vs memphis a few days ago.could be a great sleeper pick...

I think if the Cavs get lucky again and land the number 1 pick it's a no brainer that you take anthony davis and you run with it. That could open up trading tristan or having tristan on the bench as the 6th man. Against some teams you will be able to play davis and Thompson on the floor together for extended minutes. The only teams that would give us a problem with that would be the likes of Orlando, Lakers, and probably the Thunder with perkins.

If he shaves his unibrow, I'm in.

I was anti-Perry Jones, but honestly, now he intrigues me as a potential pick. I would love to have Drummond at C first and foremost. I doubt we'll get the #1 pick to get Davis. If we managed to obtain another mid-range first round pick, Perry Jones could certainly be there. Imagine the athleticism and size with Jones, Thompson, and Drummond. And Kyrie Irving dishing them the ball.

There's no way Perry Jones is a mid-range first round pick.

Im liking the idea of taking Barnes still if Davis/Drummond aren't available.

Pardon the interruption.... but since I keep seeing this thread getting a lot of input I have to ask, what is leading people to believe that the Cavs could have 2 high picks in the upcoming draft?

It's fun to think about getting two and how they might fit, but can I get my hopes up that any of these scenerios might actually happen?

You never know who is going to stay and who is going to declare. I thought the 2011 draft was going to be way deeper because I assumed Sullinger, Barnes, Perry Jones, and Terrence Jones would declare.

To be completely honest I could see a guy like Drummond staying, especially if he keeps playing this way. His draft stock will fall and he could hold out another year to develop and go higher in 2013. But again you never know.

Based on what I have seem so far, I think my wishlist would go in this order: Anthony Davis, Harrison Barnes, Jeremy Lamb, Drummond, Sullinger. I feel like Davis is going to be real special though, and potentially a future center. If he just added that height as a junior in high school he is going to fill out over time.

I'm not sure if this has been stated, but this thread is kinda pointless without specifying exactly which pics the Cavs would even have.

If they get #1 and #2, the answer is 100% Davis and Drummond. If #1 and #5, it's different. If #1 and #10, again, different. etc etc etc

of course none of this is happening anyway and probably the only chance the Cavs have of getting another pick is by sending AV for that protected Clipper pick. But that'd be guaranteed to be in the teens if the Cavs receive it, so most of the duos discussed itt wouldn't even be possible.

Picks 2 and 5....Two being Detroit (cuz they'll be awful), and Cavs at 5 (Not as awful)....

Barnes at 2, Beal at 5....

PG Irving
SG Beal
SF Barnes
PF Thompson
C Varejao

wow. (assuming they would pan out)

While I'd LOVE to say, and have, Jeremy Lamb and Anthony Davis (or Andre Drummond and Harrison Barnes), a more realistic pairing would be Quincy Miller and DeWayne Dedmon. Keep an eye on Miller and Dedmon. They're, relatively, flying under the radar and while not as flashy as the guys I mentioned first, they would provide some pretty great assets for the Cavaliers going forward--and much more realistic (Miller will probably end up going between 5-10, and Dedmon between 10-25).

pg-Kyrie Irving
sg-Christian Eyenga
sf-Quincy Miller
pf-Tristan Thompson
c-DeWayne Dedmon

Looks pretty good going forward.

i am in love with henson. sam perkins=rasheed wallace=john henson. i am trusting we won't get the number one pick again and thus won't have a chance at davis and drummond scares me a bit.

btw, sorry homers but i want nothing to do with sullinger. he doesn't seem to have much upside and his skill set is over-rated. also, he obviously doesn't have the athletic ability i think he would need to thrive in the NBA and/or to justify him going in the top 8-10 of the draft...

Whoever doesn't end up with Jeremy Lamb (apart from Drummond/Davis) will realize soon after that they made a mistake. Beal is also a great talent, but Lamb is going to shine. Also, how the hell are we going to end up with two lotto picks again? I think someone already asked, but I didn't read any farther and it doesn't make much sense.

i\rasheed wallace=john henson

Please explain what John Henson has in common with Rasheed Wallace.

This makes less sense than the Harrison Barnes= Carmelo Anthony posts I've been seeing lately.
