"Is Kinsey Lebron's Pippen?"

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I think you're just looking at his size and weight... Cause his game is nothing like Prince's.... He has no post up game, he doesn't have the handles and I wouldn't trust him taking the outside shot either...

I think more Travis Outlaw or Dermarr Johnson than Prince to be honest...But as long as he is able to contribute in a positive manner, I could care less...
Outlaw has a terrific jumper. Kinsey reminds me more of a Jamario Moon type

No offense, but Outlaw does not have a terrific jumper. He's certainly a capable shooter, but not a terrific jumpshooter.

His eFG% for jumpshots is 45.3%. By contrast, Jamario Moon's is 45.4%

It's not that simple: Outlaw shoots more jumpers and has to create his own shot. Moon has a lower percentage of his shots as jumpers and he gets most his of catch and shoots (has a higher ast% on his jumpers). Outlaw has a terrific jumper and I'd take his jumpshot over Moon's anyday of the week

guys it was the warriors

did we forget they dont play defense???

Ill get excited about him playing ANY minutes when he does ANYTHING against a team that defends

:)

Yeah, when you're scraping the floor for scraps ... you don't care who dropped 'em.

He's a really good defender I've noticed. Quick, long, athletic, he wants to play D.

Short anecdote about Kinsey / Mike Brown from Windhorst:

SALT LAKE CITY -- With Mo Williams needing rest and Daniel Gibson in foul trouble last Wednesday night in Portland, Cavaliers coach Mike Brown had a conversation with his coaches about whether to insert seldom-used guard Tarence Kinsey.

Brown thought about it and out loud decided not to use him. Standing nearby, Kinsey overhead the decision. A few minutes later, during a different timeout, Kinsey approached his coach.

"He said 'coach I'm not going to let you down, you can trust me,'" Brown said. "I told him 'T.K. you are right.'"

Brown didn't use Kinsey Wednesday, but when he got in a tight spot again Friday in Golden State, he sent Kinsey in. With Brown living up to his end, Kinsey did too by scoring 11 points and getting three rebounds in 15 minutes.

Signed as a free agent in August after finishing last season overseas, Kinsey hasn't been much of a factor this season. He's mostly been used in mop-up duty and in a few short spurts for matchup purposes. Which is what Brown was using him for against the Warriors, who play very small.

"You just have to take advantage of your opportunities," Kinsey said. "That's what I practice every day for."

Despite that strong play, Brown isn't promising to alter his rotation to give Kinsey more guaranteed chances. But the way Kinsey responded likely earned more trust from the coach.

"We have some guys in front of him who are playing pretty well, too," Brown said. "It's going to be a case-by-case basis."

That was another decent showing by Kinsey last night. Maybe he gambled a bit too much on defense a couple times, but on the whole, those were some good minutes and the +/- shows it.

For the 11th guy off the bench I'd say he's been doing a pretty darn good job and deserves some more looks in future games.

Kinsey is a testament on just how deep we are as a team. He has finally progressed to the point that he can be a valuable asset when called upon.

Well after seeing Gibson yesterday night, I decided that I'd rather see Kinsey out there.

He hustles, defends, knows his limits, puts in his best effort, in short does everything that Gibson hasn't been doing for the last 1-2 weeks.

I'm not saying that Kinsey is the better player but Gibson is putting no effort in at the moment. None whatsoever.

Kinsey is a surprisingly strong defender. He has a very quick lateral step, and is able to keep his man in front of him, even when he is up in his chest. We all know the way to Mike Brown's heart is on the defensive end, and TK is certainly doing that. He gambled on that steal last night, leaving his man wide open at the top of the key. If I remember correctly, it did not bite us though.

He is also somewhat controlled on the offensive end. Still a little jittery - chalk that up to inexperience with this team though. He knows he has been there before. I see a lot of room for improvement here. With his deceiving speed, wouldn't it be great if he became our Rip Hamilton?

Man I was really surprised with some of his athletic moves. It looked last night like he was some sort of secret weapon. That move where he passed it and ran baseline and got it back and dunked blew my mind. We kind of wrote him off earlier in the season, but it looks like everyone is an allstar when they play with Lebron.
