Jamario Moon (Heat decline offer)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
LeBron could play PG also if needed, he is pretty much a point forward anyway so he can bring the ball up. He was our PG his rookie year when he played with Davis and Miles too.

Yeah, but last year we've seen LeBron play off the ball more than ever, and if what W&G said is true, we'll see him play more towards the basket this season as well, which means less time that he'll bring the ball up the court..

I'd rather not see LeBron bringing the ball up the court anyway.. get it to him where he'll be most effective, which is NOT behind the 3 pt arc..

His rookie year means nothing now.. he's added more bulk and size since then.. he's not at his best when bringing the ball up the court.. why do you think we spent all those years looking for a PG?

I'm sure he'd be fine bringing it up a few minutes per night, but why have to split the backup PG spot up between 2 or 3 guys (Parker + LeBron + Boobie, who would all be out of position - not to say they wouldn't be capable of doing it, however) when you have Delonte, who can easily slide over when Mo goes to the bench..

Besides that, I think LeBron's starting to make a transition from "point forward" to basically a guy that plays closer to the basket.. we saw LeBron bring the ball up the court less last year than ever before, even on fast breaks..

Parker. Which is how it would put us in the same position as last year.

Do you even realize that what you're saying isn't ideal for Delonte to be doing (starting SG & backup PG), is exactly what you're saying Parker would do?

That's a lot of minutes for Parker to take on.. I wouldn't mind seeing him run it when Delonte & Mo are sitting, but to ask him to be the primary backup PG at 34 is a bit much, IMO.. His %'s dropped last year, which in part had to do with the fact that he had to run quite a bit of PG for Toronto.. I'd much rather have him concentrate on spotting up & playing D, his 2 biggest strengths..

It would also mean we're down to a 3 guard rotation again in Mo/Parker/Boobie.. Boobie would be playing 20+ mpg.. or you'd have to slide somebody over (more LeBron at the 2?).. or you throw a rookie out there right away (Green?).. or somebody that stunk up the joint in summer league (TK?)

Which brings up another point.. it would hurt our depth that we've worked so hard to strengthen this offseason..

Yes, which is why I said I don't think it's something that would interest Ferry. But West is also the only starter that Ferry would consider giving up to get a stud PF. Look, you're basically arguing around the point I've been making the entire time which is this: Trading away West wouldn't present a "HUGE hole" on our roster -- but it would make us weaker in our backcourt rotation.

I seriously can't believe we've gone back and forth about a point that is fairly obvious: if we lost West, then Parker would take up that rotation spot and minutes played. No, it wouldn't be close to ideal. Yes, it would weaken the backcourt. And no, I'm not in favor of shipping out West. But it looks like taking from the backcourt is the only way Ferry can significantly upgrade our 4 spot. That's all my original observation was. And I think it's a fairly obvious observation at that.

Lol, I see so who are you exactly? and how did you know I came from CF? i'm really confused at the moment!

I put the number of posts you had here plus your CavFanatic like name and just assumed you were from there. It was just a guess :chuckles:

Oh i see, thing is I had over 2,000 posts almost 3,000 on CavFanatic.com. It's a shame really that site is getting ridiculous. But not to get off topic, so who are you now? you are avoiding my question. :D

I was disagreeing with what you said here:

So losing West wouldn't exactly create a hole.

Thanks for the info, I saw that he was finally put on the cavs roster on cavs.com, hopefully we found out what his number is tonight so he can officially become Apollo __ :chuckles:

Westfield huh. Damn, not sure that a great introduction to the Cleveland area for Super Jamario. Place is like Stepford, as in the Stepford wives.

I saw a clip on Channel 5 of the press conference...he was wearing a jersey with a 5 on it...I think it was a two digit number though. Maybe 15?

Updated: it is #15 after seeing the whole press conference video.

Jamario seems like a real chill and cool dude, glad to have him here. I hope he makes an impact..
