Nothing.
Really, it all comes down to whether or not they want to move him. Like kovanovich said, no other teams have been linked to him, although Stein (or someone?) did say multiple teams are interested without naming any names. Without knowing our competition - if there actually is any - it's hard to gauge our chances. If they really want to move him and they simply aren't getting the offers they expected....they could definitely be forced to deal him here despite the supposed "bad blood."
I guess we should all be hoping that 1) they are 100% set on moving him, and 2) no other teams put up respectable offers for him. Certain quotes seem to be pointing towards them keeping him, but with smokescreens and everything who knows what's actually happening.
Of course, Iggy should be our #1 target now anyways and hopefully that goes well so we don't need to worry about Washington's hesitance to deal with us
Well, George Thomas of the ABJ, in an article included in this thread, did assert other teams would be interested:
What are the prospects of getting Jamison? With owner Dan Gilbert's willingness to make moves, Ferry would have an opportunity here. But if the Wizards make Jamison available, a lot of teams would be interested.
Needless to say, I don't think this is the best source. I have not seen Stein or anyone else say that a team other than the Cavs was interested in Jamison. If there were any other team, I can't imagine that it wouldn't have been leaked by someone to the media.
Also, it's been made pretty clear that anyone on the Wizards is available in a trade. I will be really surprised if the Wizards don't make some moves before the deadline. They should be able to get something for Butler and/or one of their major expiring contracts (Haywood and Miller), which would jump start their rebuilding efforts...
I'll also add that reporting that Arenas has played his last game for Washington, even if this means the Wizards would need to buy out the remaining years on his contract, would give the Wizards even more reason to move Jamison. You don't rebuild with a 34 year old as your go-to guy. It makes absolutely no sense.
